Movement.
His gaze sharpened and Marcus immediately noticed the change.
"Did you find something?"
Kade remained silent while sorting through the sensation. The bond had been too weak to reveal a precise location, but it had provided something else.
Direction.
When he finally spoke, his voice remained calm.
"They're moving south."
The room immediately fell silent.
Several analysts looked up from their stations.
Marcus turned toward him. "You're certain?"
"The bond shifted."
The explanation was brief, but Marcus understood immediately. Kade was not claiming to know where Dakota and Takoda were. The connection remained too weak for that.
What he had sensed was movement.
And that movement had a direction.
Without hesitation, Marcus began issuing new instructions.
"Alert every southern checkpoint."
"Expand surveillance coverage along all southern routes."
"Deploy aerial reconnaissance and update search sectors immediately."
