The space was vast, restrained, and unmistakably Kade—expensive, clean, intimidating. Yet unlike the estate, it felt lived in. Personal. Unwatched.
Elena and Erin approached quietly.
"She's asleep?" Elena whispered, glancing at Takoda.
Marcus nodded.
Kade carried Dakota deeper into the penthouse without slowing. "Takoda takes the east guest suite. Elena stays with her tonight."
"Yes, Alpha," both women answered at once.
Marcus followed with Takoda while Elena and Erin moved to help settle her.
Kade continued to the master suite. The room was immense, bathed in low amber light. Tall walls, sheer curtains, and a wide, low bed centered beneath the endless night skyline. He lowered Dakota onto the mattress with careful hands.
Her fingers caught lightly in his shirt before loosening again.
Kade paused. His gaze traced her sleeping face—no tension, no guard, only deep exhaustion and quiet trust. The blood oath throbbed steadily beneath his skin.
Mine.
