Elena truly had gone overboard. Designer dresses, casual clothes, shoes, hair products, accessories, even skincare. Dakota stared for a second. "She robbed an entire mall."
Kade finally set the untouched tablet aside. "You needed clothes."
"For a year?"
"You'll use them." One thing he didn't openly say was that they didn't cost much.
Dakota glanced sideways toward him suspiciously. "You sound very confident I'm staying here permanently."
Kade's gaze held hers steadily from across the suite. "You are."
The answer came too easily. Too naturally.
And somehow, that certainty no longer frightened her as much as it should have.
Takoda suddenly held up a tiny black dress excitedly. "Royal Mother! Wear matching outfits with me!"
Dakota looked toward the child helplessly, then toward Kade—who looked entirely too entertained watching her slowly lose every battle inside this suite.
