Chapter 58 - Chapter 58

Jimin looked at her, his chest rising and falling fast.

 "I'm…"

The words stayed in his throat.

He couldn't say them.

Minju looked at him for a moment.

Then she slowly pulled her hand away from his.

The bracelet on her wrist shined under the lights of N Seoul Tower.

She turned around.

And walked away.

. .. "Yah… Minju!" Jimin called, running after her.

But she didn't stop.

She didn't even look back.

Tears filled her eyes as she quickly stopped a taxi.

The door opened.

She entered the car.

Jimin reached the road just as the taxi drove away.

 "Minju…!"

But the car was already gone.

When Minju reached home, the house lights were still on.

Her mother was in the living room.

"Are you okay? I thought you said you were sick," her mother asked with concern.

Minju opened her mouth.

But no words came out.

She just nodded and walked past her.

Step by step.

Until she reached her room.

The moment she closed the door, her legs became weak.

Her heart felt like it would break out of her chest.

She didn't want to cry.

She didn't want to think.

She just wanted everything to stop.

Slowly she sat on her bed.

Her eyes fell on the bracelet on her wrist.

The half heart bracelet.

Her fingers touched it.

She remembered the promise they made earlier at Myeongdong Shopping Street.

"Promise you won't take it off."

"Never."

Her hand slowly moved to remove it.

But she stopped.

Her chest tightened.

Tears filled her eyes.

"It didn't even last three days…" she whispered.

Her voice broke.

"I hate you, Jimin…"

A tear rolled down her cheek.

She quickly wiped it away.

"No… I won't cry."

She shook her head.

"I won't cry."

Her voice trembled.

"I knew it… I knew you didn't really like me."

She lay down on the bed and turned on a soft song from her phone.

The music filled the quiet room.

Her eyes slowly closed.

Suddenly..

"YAH! MINJU!"

Her eyes opened.

Her heart skipped.

She sat up.

"Minju… come out…" Jimin's voice came from outside.

"Please…"

Her hands trembled.

She slowly walked to the window.

When she opened the curtain slightly…

She saw him.

Jimin was standing outside her house.

His hair messy.

His eyes red.

He looked like he had been running.

"Please…" he whispered again.

Minju's heart hurt.

But she forced herself to stay cold.

She closed the window.

Ignoring him.

Outside, Jimin looked up again.

"MINJUUUUU!"

His voice echoed through the quiet street.

"MINJUUUU!"

He shouted her name again.

Like a lost child.

Inside the room, Minju sat on the floor.

Her back against the wall.

Her hands covering her mouth so no one could hear her crying.

Tears rolled down silently.

Outside…

Jimin was still calling her name.

"Minjuuu…"

But she didn't open the window again.

And that night

Two hearts that promised never to remove their bracelets Were breaking in silence.
