Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 074. The Whirlpool Survivor

Both appearance and body shape can be disguised with the Transformation Technique, but the Sharingan? That thing doesn't lie.

After confirming the visitor's identity through his Sharingan, Shisui Uchiha finally relaxed. His heart, which had been hanging by a thread, settled a little.

Sure, this guy had imprisoned him and stolen his Kotoamatsukami eye like some black-market organ dealer—but he'd also provided a plan that saved the Uchiha from total extermination.

Compared to Konoha's so-called "high-level leadership" and even Patriarch Fugaku Uchiha, this mysterious bastard was practically a saint.

Shisui gave a bitter smile.

"They'll see it sooner or later. Leading a clan is much harder than it looks. I can't even promise them we won't be hunted down by Konoha tomorrow."

Naruto smiled faintly.

"Every choice has a price. A few hours ago, you could've used the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki to launch a coup. Who knows? You might be the Fifth Hokage by now. But you chose not to."

Shisui knew he was joking, but still shook his head seriously.

"The Police Force is no match for Konoha's leadership. Even if the coup succeeded, the Sannin wouldn't sit still. The Uchiha wouldn't hold the Hokage seat for long. We'd end up in a worse mess than this."

Naruto nodded. The lack of top-tier combat power had always been the Uchiha's biggest problem.

Even if Shisui and Itachi Uchiha fully supported Fugaku, success was still uncertain. Konoha's leadership wasn't united—but the Uchiha were even more divided.

From the start, the coup had been a tragic comedy.

After a moment of silence, Shisui asked carefully,

"The clan has already left Konoha. We haven't decided on a new homeland. Do you have any suggestions?"

"Suggestions?" Naruto glanced at him playfully. "The ninja world is huge. Pick a spot. Not like the earth's going to reject you."

Shisui lowered his posture—completely unlike the decisive leader at clan meetings.

"Uchiha can't do this alone. I'd like your opinion."

Originally, he thought this mysterious man was just some greedy jōnin eyeing his Sharingan. But after last night's Jinchūriki incident, Shisui estimated this guy's strength was at least Kage-level.

Naruto narrowed his eyes.

"Why should I help you? Before, I was interested in your Mangekyō. Now? You don't even have a spare. Three-tomoe Sharingan doesn't impress me."

Shisui's expression stiffened. He truly had no bargaining chip.

After a long pause, he said cautiously,

"Don't you want change? A powerful Uchiha clan active in the ninja world would certainly be… interesting. You could also gain our loyalty."

Naruto almost laughed.

He had casually said something before—and Shisui took it seriously?

Still, letting the Uchiha roam free would distract Konoha nicely. That was one reason he'd bothered chasing them down.

"Uchiha loyalty? I can't afford that kind of responsibility," Naruto replied lazily.

Just then, both sensed chakra approaching.

Moments later, Izumi Uchiha appeared, looking anxious.

"Shisui-senpai, we're short on medical supplies. Should we… abandon the severely wounded?"

Shisui's face darkened.

Abandon them?

He didn't want to. But reality didn't give a damn about feelings.

Then he suddenly remembered the monster standing beside him.

"If you help treat the wounded, we'll pay."

"How much?" Naruto asked instantly.

Shisui hesitated. "Minor injuries, twenty thousand ryō. Severe injuries… one hundred million."

Naruto coughed.

"One hundred million? Ahem. Lead the way. I'm not greedy for money. I just can't stand seeing people suffer. I used to be a medical ninja. Very professional."

Shisui: "…"

This mysterious boss was shamelessly straightforward.

On the way, Izumi kept sneaking glances at Naruto.

Shisui—who had crushed opposition within the clan and led them out of Konoha—was treating this man with absurd respect.

Naruto ignored her curiosity.

In his memory, Izumi was a genius who awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan early. If she'd grown up peacefully, she'd easily become an elite jōnin.

Instead, she fell for Itachi—and died with her mother during the massacre.

But fate had changed.

Who knew what chaos this batch of Uchiha would unleash on the ninja world now?

Entering the camp, Naruto felt the suffocating atmosphere.

Survivors cursed Itachi—the traitor who slaughtered his own clan.

Enemies are hated.

But traitors? They're despised.

Shisui muttered, "Sorry you have to see this. They'll recover soon."

Naruto said flatly, "Take me to the wounded. No need to waste time."

Inside his mind, Kurama grumbled.

"Didn't you say we were traveling the world? Why are we back with the Uchihas?"

"For money," Naruto replied.

"We're rebels now. You think rebellion runs on good vibes? We need cash."

Kurama snorted. "We could hunt."

"Sure. Then say goodbye to cola and fried fish rations."

Kurama coughed. "Young people should work hard. What I meant is—the ninja world makes money too slowly. Why not recruit these Uchihas and build a village?"

Naruto blinked.

"You? A tailed beast? Want to run a ninja village?"

Kurama scoffed. "After reading countless books, I finally understand. Individual power isn't enough. Even tailed beasts get enslaved. We need influence."

Naruto smirked.

"Good luck convincing Uchiha to follow a giant fox. One Mangekyō and you're back on a leash."

Kurama went silent.

Then muttered, "Rude brat."

The medical tent was a disaster. Poor sanitation. Barely any supplies. Primitive treatment methods.

Typical Uchiha.

They were great at cutting people open—not stitching them back up.

Naruto corrected a few doctors, then pulled out proper supplies from a scroll. Gauze. Alcohol. Clean tools.

Compared to Konoha Hospital, he wasn't top-tier.

Compared to these guys?

He might as well be Tsunade.

After treating several lightly wounded, he moved to the severely injured.

Then he saw her.

Mikoto Uchiha.

Unconscious.

Naruto blinked.

She was supposed to be dead.

He quickly healed her wounds with medical chakra. Flesh knitted back together. Bleeding stopped.

But she didn't wake up.

After hesitating, Naruto cut his finger and fed her several drops of his blood.

As an Uzumaki descendant—and a Jinchūriki—his vitality was ridiculous.

Ten minutes later, Mikoto slowly opened her eyes.

Alive.

Confused.

Very not-dead.

Naruto tossed her a bottle of sugar water.

"Ask Shisui if you have questions. I'm just a passing doctor."

Shisui explained everything—the coup, Itachi's betrayal, Fugaku's death, the clan's escape.

Mikoto went silent.

"So… Itachi killed them."

Her voice didn't break.

But something inside her clearly did.

Shisui said firmly, "You are not responsible for Itachi's actions. If necessary, I'll personally capture him."

Mikoto didn't argue.

Then she looked at Naruto.

"You saved me. May I know your name?"

"Mianma," Naruto replied casually. "And this wasn't charity. I charge."

"Mianma…" she repeated softly.

Shisui felt slightly relieved—even if it was a fake name, revealing one meant goodwill.

Naruto resumed treatment while discreetly collecting some Uchiha tissue samples.

Waste not, want not.

Later, Mikoto asked,

"Where is Sasuke?"

Shisui hesitated.

"He was left behind in Konoha. Likely with Itachi."

Mikoto's hand tightened.

Shisui warned gently,

"Going back now would be suicide."

She closed her eyes.

"For Sasuke… I'll live."

After treatment was finished, Shisui brought a heavy chest.

"Five hundred million ryō. Would you like to count it, Mr. Mianma?"

"No need."

Naruto lifted it with a grin.

With this, he could travel the ninja world comfortably.

Shisui didn't leave.

Naruto sighed internally.

Here it comes.

"I'm not settling down," Naruto said. "But I plan to build a base in the Land of Whirlpools."

"The Land of Whirlpools…" Shisui frowned.

Former homeland of the Uzumaki. Surrounded by enemies. No ninja village left.

Naruto shrugged.

"You're worried about being wiped out like the Uzumaki? Choice is yours. I won't force you."

He had his reasons. Good geography. Ruins of Uzushiogakure. Possible sealing techniques.

After long consideration, Shisui nodded.

"Uchiha will relocate to the Land of Whirlpools."

Then he asked,

"You seem connected to the Uzumaki clan. Are you planning to restore the country?"

Naruto smiled faintly.

"I do have some connection. But building a base doesn't mean restoring a nation."

That was enough.

For now, the Uchiha had no better option.

And so—

The seeds of something new began to take root.
