Chapter 326 - Chapter 326 - Perospero’s Approval of Doflamingo

Doflamingo walked along the red carpet with a grim expression. Beside him was Big Mom, a mountain of flesh stuffed into a white wedding dress, her face radiating boundless happiness.

It was clear Big Mom was in tremendous spirits today. Guests seated along the aisle applauded, and regardless of what truly lay in their hearts, every one of them offered words of congratulations. To do otherwise would be a grave insult.

Big Mom's massive body nearly knocked Doflamingo off his feet. The three-meter-wide red carpet barely left him room to walk. Combined with her coy demeanor, the experience was giving him serious psychological trauma.

The groom kept his expression dark, his sharp eyes sweeping over every guest present. Most of them had already earned a place on his kill list. After witnessing him in this humiliating state, did they think they would survive? Dream on.

He harbored no ill intent toward the Inazuma representatives seated at the front — but as for the rest? Once Big Mom was toppled, Doflamingo would settle accounts with each and every one of them.

Human trafficking was still rampant across the Grand Line, and he was already calculating which of these people to capture and sell as slaves to the Celestial Dragons. Those garbage nobles would surely be interested.

Despite his plans, Doflamingo could not help feeling nervous. The overall risk was considerable, but now that it had come to this, there could be only success — not failure. Otherwise, he would face dire consequences from forces he dared not name.

As he pondered, he heard Big Mom greeting Yukiko and Yuri at the front seats. "Yahahahaha, Yukiko-chan, Yuri-chan, you came!" Big Mom lit up at the sight of them. She had taken a liking to both of them years ago when she invited Ren to a Tea Party.

Her initial fondness was mainly for Yukiko. After Yuri gained fame and notoriety across the seas, Big Mom's affection for her grew as well. The two Inazuma executives had become treasured guests in Totto Land.

"You are getting married again, Linlin-chan," Yukiko said with a slight smile. She looked young, but was actually only ten years younger than Big Mom. The two could hold a conversation quite easily and often shared frank observations that no one else dared make.

The present Big Mom was not truly old. She had gained some weight, her skin had dulled, and wrinkles had begun to appear, but overall she still carried herself vertically.

She looked like a matronly aunt rather than a decrepit old woman — the only issue was the enormous age gap with her groom.

She did not mind Yukiko teasing her about the number of marriages. After all, she was the Queen of Totto Land. What was wrong with having fifteen or twenty husbands? In this world, power was everything!

"Hehehe, the Raiden Shogun is no slouch either!" Big Mom laughed. Between their exchanges, numerous guests were quietly communicating with one another.

Among them were spies belonging to the World Government. Out of the hundreds in attendance, small groups whispered together in tight circles. Though the World Government appeared to stand apart from the world, it had planted agents everywhere across the seas. Inazuma had received its share, and Big Mom's territory was no exception.

"When they reach the wedding cake, we move. Under no circumstances can this wedding be allowed to proceed. If necessary, eliminate Doflamingo!" Several CP0 agents, dressed in pristine white suits, murmured to each other.

They appeared to sit upright and still, their mouths never opening — but they had mastered ventriloquism, able to produce sound without moving their lips.

Stopping the wedding was only the first step. Afterward, the Marines would provide support. However, the three Admirals the Marines had dispatched dared not approach Totto Land's waters too closely. They would move in only after the battle truly began.

The agents breathed heavily, their eyes locked on Big Mom striding down the red carpet. Anyone watching might have mistaken them for men planning to steal the bride. If that were truly the case, Doflamingo might have rushed to send the World Government a banner of gratitude.

Soon, Big Mom and Doflamingo had arrived before the towering wedding cake. The cake dwarfed even Big Mom's nine-meter frame. Standing there, the thick scent of cream and sugar filled the entire hall like a sweet fog.

Big Mom was already drooling with anticipation. Now, standing before the cake, she could not care about anything else. She abandoned Doflamingo without a second thought. Clearly, a mere Doflamingo was not nearly as important as the cake. The groom stood there with his arms hanging at his sides, utterly forgotten.

Perospero, watching from the side, was beginning to wonder whether his mother had arranged this wedding because she desired Doflamingo or simply because she wanted the cake. But there was no time for such thoughts —

Perospero had noticed Doflamingo's increasingly dark expression.

He did not know Doflamingo was calculating the timing of his plan. Instead, he assumed the man was upset at being ignored by Big Mom. That Doflamingo genuinely cared for their mother — Perospero was almost moved by the depth of feeling.

He felt he should remind Big Mom before this led to emotional complications, so he opened his mouth to speak.

But before he could utter a word, a thunderous shout erupted from among the guests.

"Attack!"

The cry startled Trebol and the others, who had been on edge. They thought this was an additional signal Doflamingo had secretly arranged. All of them sprang into action at once.

Before they could strike, however, several mysterious figures in white suits rushed toward Big Mom and Doflamingo behind the wedding cake. Both sides were caught completely off guard. Where had these people come from?

The two factions had not even truly engaged before they froze, exchanging bewildered glances under the gaze of hundreds of spectators. Now Perospero understood — someone had come to disrupt the wedding.

His eyes darted between the white-suited figures and the Donquixote Family's entourage.

He thought to himself that Doflamingo must truly value this wedding. Before the Charlotte side could even react to the disturbance, Doflamingo's people had already moved to intervene. The man must desperately want to marry their mother.

In that instant, Perospero acknowledged Doflamingo. He had never even acknowledged his own biological father, but now he recognized this man with genuine respect. With this kind of devotion on display, acknowledgment was unavoidable.

From now on, the Charlotte Family and the Donquixote Family would truly be one family. But this was not the time to let the in-laws fight their battles.

Perospero stepped forward with righteous authority, shielding the people Doflamingo had brought. "Doflamingo, let your family rest. We will handle the ones disrupting this wedding!" he declared loudly.

Dear Readers,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to you today because things have become genuinely difficult, and I need to be honest about where I stand.

I am currently posting five to seven chapters every day across my active fictions, keeping up with bonus releases and extra chapters on top of that. The schedule is relentless, and I am putting in everything I have to make sure nobody is left waiting.

Going forward, I am also bringing more quality fictions to the table — unfound gems and hidden stories that deserve a wider audience. I want to keep expanding what is available for you to read, but I cannot do it alone.

Right now, my financial situation has dropped to the lowest point it has ever been. Patreon support is not just helpful anymore — it is what keeps this work alive. Without it, I do not know how long I can sustain this daily output or continue hunting down those new stories for you.

If you have been reading and enjoying the work, please consider joining a tier. I have increased what each tier offers so that your support goes further:

Adventurer — $3 per month

20 chapters in advance for all of my works

Important note: Subscribing through the Apple App adds an extra 30 percent fee due to Apple/Patreon policy. Please subscribe through your browser to avoid the extra charge. Apple also processes payments very late — two to three months — which makes it much harder for me to receive funds quickly when I need them most.

I am pleading with you because I need your help right now. Your support would let me keep the daily releases going, keep the early access flowing, and keep bringing you those new, quality fictions I have lined up. It would keep my head above water while I do what I love.

If you cannot subscribe, sharing the work with others who might enjoy it still helps more than you know.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
