Amid the overwhelming chaos, Ateen arrived with her warriors at the place where the giant beast and King Aziron stood near the wall.
She paused for a moment, her eyes scanning the scene—capturing the sight of Scarface's corpse lying on the ground, the defeated Mazi men, and blood covering the battlefield.
Anger ignited in her veins. She clenched her fists tightly, then stepped forward steadily toward Aziron, declaring the confrontation.
Aziron stood in place, watching her with mockery. His body was slowly evaporating at the sites of his wounds, each injury healing as if it had never existed.
She drew closer and said in a voice filled with fury, "You will pay for every soul you have taken."
Aziron smirked and replied, "Then try…"
The mark appeared once again on Ateen's forehead, and silver veins spread across her arms. She lunged toward him with force, and the battle between them erupted violently.
Ateen moved with agility, striking with power and precision, shifting between offense and evasion with remarkable grace. Her fists were tightly clenched, her blows raining down on Aziron one after another.
She managed to land powerful hits, leaving visible bruises and injuries on him.
Aziron was briefly shaken, caught off guard by Ateen's strength he had not anticipated.
She continued her assault without hesitation. With every strike she delivered, she saw his body take the hits—but not as effectively as it should.
She stepped back slightly, catching her breath, then thought to herself: "There's no use striking him randomly. If I want to end this fight, I have to target the vital points… If I can disable them, he won't be able to regenerate."
She quickly regained her stance and launched herself again, this time focusing on specific areas—targeting the joints of his arms and legs, and the points where vital energy concentrated.
With every blow, his body began to lose some of its flexibility.
Aziron suddenly stopped, trying to move his arms, but pain hindered him.
He muttered angrily, "Why can't I heal myself?!"
Despite her advantage, Ateen felt the poison that had spread through her body from her battle against Kalisa beginning to take a severe toll. Her limbs trembled, and sweat poured down her forehead.
She whispered to herself, "My body is failing me… the poison is spreading fast. I don't have time… I have to finish this now."
Before she could move, a loud scream tore through the battlefield.
Ateen froze in place, as if time itself had stopped.
She turned quickly—one of Aziron's soldiers was holding Finn, pressing a drawn dagger against his neck.
Her face went pale, her heart pounded violently, her eyes unable to believe what she was seeing.
Aziron seized the opportunity and struck her with a powerful blow, knocking her to the ground.
Ateen tried to move, her gaze locked onto Finn, stunned and unable to act.
At that moment, Aziron gestured to the soldier and gave a cold order:
"Finish him."
Finn glanced at her for a brief moment, his eyes filled with fear—yet carrying a silent apology.
Then, in a decisive instant, the dagger was driven into Finn's neck with force, tearing through flesh and reaching the bone. His body collapsed to the ground as blood scattered across the dirt.
Ateen screamed in burning agony—a scream that came from the depths of her shattered heart.
Her body trembled as her hands struck the ground, tears flooding her face, her voice breaking between painful sobs:
"Finn… no… nooo…"
At that moment, amid everything happening, a memory from the past returned to her mind…
On a quiet night beside the waterways, the reflection of moonlight shimmered on the surface of the water, and a gentle breeze passed softly through the air.
Ateen was sitting at the edge of the bridge, enjoying the cool night breeze, when she noticed Finn approaching with heavy steps. Under the moonlight, she saw the bruises covering his face and arms, and the torn clothes barely covering his body.
She quickly stood and rushed toward him, her eyes filled with concern and anger. She said:
"Did you get into another fight again?"
Finn sighed, wiping a spot of blood from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, then said:
"They were mocking me again… but this time, I taught them a lesson."
Ateen watched him for a moment, then reached out and gently touched his cheek, then said in a calm voice:
"Don't mind them… they're just fools. Tomorrow, they will answer to me."
Finn laughed despite the pain, then lifted his head, his eyes shining with a dream:
"I want to go with Basil and Hamza on their journey, to live adventures and see new places! That's my dream, Ateen!"
Ateen looked at him in silence, her heart heavy with mixed emotions. She didn't want to shatter his dream, yet she couldn't allow him to go either.
She stepped closer, placing her hands on his shoulders, and said:
"You're still young, Finn… adventures are not what you imagine. They're harsh, and full of danger."
Disappointment appeared on Finn's face, yet Ateen smiled—a smile carrying deep love and great fear.
She gently brushed his hair and said warmly:
"When you grow up, you'll become someone of great importance… you're the only one who can unite the two tribes under one banner."
Finn remained silent, his eyes searching for an answer. Then he looked at her, before turning his face toward the flowing water beside him, where his blurred reflection shimmered on the surface.
Ateen returned to reality… to a scene she had never imagined.
Finn's body lay on the ground, motionless. The eyes that had once been filled with dreams were now closed forever.
There was no more time for him to become a leader, no future for him to matter; the dream had been extinguished before it was born, and time had frozen in his final gaze.
Ateen screamed—a scream filled with rage and despair, her tears falling onto the ground.
Aziron stood over her, looking down with eyes filled with triumph and delight.
He raised his spear high, smirking coldly as he said:
"You were their last hope… and now, everything is over."
Ateen whispered faintly, remembering the king's words:
"I'm sorry… I failed you… I failed everyone…"
She closed her eyes, ready to receive the fatal blow.
At that very moment, suddenly, a powerful sound tore through the air, followed by a massive impact.
"Amtores Punch!"
