After three days had passed since the execution of Counselor Edison, Scarface stood atop the kingdom's wall, gazing at the raging sea, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of a new attack.
He then turned to one of his men and said in a voice mixed with anger and concern:
"All night we've been fighting the Ferkoda, yet they never stop attacking! What's strange is that they attack for a short time and then return to the sea, as if they're deliberately exhausting us, leaving us without sleep or rest."
The man nodded wearily and replied, "Yes, that's true."
On the other side of the kingdom, Ateen was walking toward the wall, while behind her, Finn was running, trying to catch up.
He approached her, panting, and said:
"I want to go and fight alongside the Mazi men!"
Ateen stopped, turned to him, and said, "You can't do that, Finn. You lack experience, and you don't know how to deal with creatures like the Ferkoda. I won't allow you to rush into a battle that could cost you your life."
Finn tried to protest, but Ateen's firm tone left him no room to speak.
He turned away, frustrated, walking with slow steps until he spotted Basil and Hamza passing nearby.
He hurried toward them, his face reflecting a determination that hadn't faded despite Ateen's refusal, and said, "Take me with you! I want to fight, I want to help the kingdom!"
Hamza looked at him and said firmly, "It is not bravery to enter a battle you are not prepared for."
Even so, Finn did not back down. He continued pleading with them insistently, determined to prove himself.
With his persistent insistence, Basil and Hamza exchanged brief glances, then finally agreed to take him along, realizing that the responsibility now rested on their shoulders.
At that moment, from the direction of the wall, the roar of the sea suddenly rose, and the waves surged violently. From its depths emerged a gigantic beast like a mountain, striking the waves with immense force. Upon its broad back stood King Aziron with an imposing majesty, his eyes fixed on the wall with a gaze that warned of danger.
A heavy silence fell before one of the soldiers shouted in terror, "What is that thing?!"
The soldiers' faces turned pale, and some of them instinctively stepped back.
As for Scarface, he stared intently at the gigantic beast, then said:
"It resembles the beast that appeared twenty years ago… except that it is far larger!"
At that moment, King Aziron released a sound from his large horns, prompting the beast to move at a terrifying speed toward the wall.
Scarface immediately regained his composure, raised his hand, and shouted, "Release the arrows! Now!"
Arrows shot through the air toward the beast, but they bounced off its tough skin without leaving a mark.
The beast roared with a terrifying sound that shook the surroundings, then charged forward and struck the wall with immense force, creating a massive breach in it!
Then the beast let out a thunderous roar that echoed everywhere, reaching the other side of the wall, where Hunter and Sekio were guarding the area.
But that was only the beginning of the catastrophe. Soon, vast numbers of Ferkoda appeared, crawling from the sea and from behind the hills like an unstoppable flood, surrounding the kingdom from all sides.
At the same time, inside the palace, Novich was sitting beside the bed of his uncle Nikola, who looked pale and exhausted.
Suddenly, the sound of the gigantic beast penetrated the palace, shaking its walls and causing Novich to jolt in fear.
He quickly stood up, rushed to the window, grabbed his telescope, and stepped out onto the balcony. He raised it, his eyes widening in shock as he saw the colossal creature, the enormous breach in the wall, and the hordes of Ferkoda advancing toward the kingdom.
Novich ran back to his room, quickly gathering his tools and placing them into a small bag along with some blueprints.
At that moment, Nikola called out to him in a weak voice, "Novich… what is happening? What is that terrifying sound?"
Novich turned to him, his eyes filled with tension, and said in a trembling voice, "A gigantic beast has created a massive breach in the wall with tremendous force! The situation has become dangerous, and I must hurry to fix the weapon. There is no more time!"
Nikola tried to stand despite his weakness, holding onto the edge of the bed to steady himself, then said with determination, "I will come with you, and I will help you."
Novich looked at him with concern and quickly said, "But your condition doesn't allow it, uncle. You need rest. I cannot allow you to take such a risk."
Nevertheless, Nikola smiled despite his exhaustion, his eyes shining with determination as he said:
"Do not worry about me. The entire kingdom depends on this weapon, and we do not have time. We must move now."
Novich felt his uncle's determination like a force that ignited his own resolve and pushed him to act.
He nodded and said, "Alright, we won't waste any time. Let's go!"
Novich helped his uncle stand, and they left the room with hurried steps.
Amid the chaos and screams, Ateen stood firm in the midst of the fleeing civilians.
Her eyes carefully observed the situation, and her voice rose above the noise, reaching everyone:
"All female warriors, secure the civilians and evacuate the houses quickly! I do not want any casualties among the civilians!"
The female warriors moved swiftly, guiding the people toward the center of the city, while Ateen made her way toward the wall with a group of fighters.
The atmosphere was tense, danger surrounding the place, as the sounds of screams and clashes rose from every direction.
