I rolled over when I woke up and found Ashton already watching me. The moment our eyes met, a quiet pull settled between us, steady and familiar. I paused for a second before asking, "You're up?"
He raised his brows slightly. "Are you hungry?"
I shook my head since I had just woken up. As I shifted my body, a sharp ache spread across my waist, making me frown without meaning to.
"What's wrong?" he asked, his tone lowering as his attention focused on me.
"My waist hurts," I said softly. The bond between us felt warmer than usual, as if reacting to my discomfort. I had been noticing changes lately, more than I expected at this stage. My body felt heavier, and the growth of my pregnancy seemed faster than I could keep up with. Even the marks on my skin had started to show, reminding me of how much everything was changing.
