I could smell exhaustion pouring off Elliot the moment he entered the car. His Alpha aura, usually cold and commanding, felt restrained tonight, weighed down by everything that had happened at the hospital. He leaned back against the passenger seat while city lights swept across the windows.
Rey glanced at him through the mirror. "President Presgrave, where do you want to go?"
For a few seconds, Elliot remained silent. I knew exactly who his instincts wanted to seek out first. Whenever his emotions spiraled, his wolf always gravitated toward Anastasia as if pulled by an invisible mate bond. But she had already told him she wouldn't be returning to his territory tonight.
"Take me to the hospital first," Elliot finally answered. "I want to check on Grandma again."
Rey nodded but spoke carefully after a moment. "President Presgrave, I think Miss Tillman should know how you dealt with Hayley. If Hayley becomes desperate, she may try causing trouble for her again."
