A moment later, the massive pot still sat where it was.
Axel tore apart several Yasha corpses, tossing their severed limbs into the boiling pot with a grin on his face.
He had no idea how long this strange meat needed to cook, but he had no interest in eating it anyway. He could satisfy his hunger by devouring his own prey directly, so there was no reason to wait around for soup.
Leaving behind the pot filled with blood and flesh, he continued walking toward the distant sounds of battle.
His speed was astonishing. In only a short time, he crossed mountain ridges and frozen valleys before finally arriving at the coastline.
Looking at the endless sea ahead, Axel narrowed his eyes.
"What kind of place is this supposed to be? A frozen ocean beside snowy mountains? If I didn't know better, I'd think I got thrown into Antarctica. Where the hell are the penguins?"
Chuckling to himself, he continued along the mountain path toward the towering snow-covered peak beside the sea.
At that moment, thunder roared across the summit.
Lightning flashed through the dark sky as two figures clashed violently atop the mountain.
One of them was a short pig demon, barely over three feet tall. He wore a loose green robe that exposed his round stomach, and in his hands rested the legendary Nine-Tooth Rake.
Facing him in the distance was a woman dressed in red, surrounded by crackling thunderclouds.
The pig demon waved his rake and shouted arrogantly.
"Well now, Princess from the Eastern Heavens, you've followed Yellowbrow for so many years, yet your skills still look pathetic! Your thunder tricks haven't improved at all!"
He burst into laughter.
"If you ask me, you should stop embarrassing yourself and move aside so Old Pig can properly fight your cheap master himself!"
As soon as his words fell, he swung the Nine-Tooth Rake.
The weapon instantly expanded dozens of feet wide, tearing through the storm clouds and smashing toward the woman in red.
Boom!
The woman was forced backward through the air as lightning exploded around her.
The pig demon immediately transformed into a swirling black gale, charging after her while spinning the rake wildly.
In the next instant, the woman was blasted hundreds of meters into the sky.
"Haha! Did that scare you enough?"
The pig demon laughed shamelessly.
"If this were the old days, that strike would've smashed right into your waist. No matter how pretty you looked, you'd still end up crippled!"
"Pigsy, you are still as vulgar as ever."
The woman frowned coldly before pulling out a small golden cymbal from her waist.
The pig demon's expression stiffened the moment he saw it.
Still, he refused to show fear.
"Yellowbrow actually handed that treasure to you? Looks like he really favors his disciple."
He snorted loudly.
"If he gave all his treasures to Old Pig instead, forget becoming his disciple, I'd kneel nine times without hesitation!"
The woman ignored his mocking tone and slowly raised the golden cymbal into the air.
"Marshal Tian Peng," she said calmly, "my master once considered your merits and wished to guide you toward enlightenment. All you needed to do was bow your head and cultivate within Little Leiyin Temple."
Her eyes turned colder.
"But since you refuse to abandon your violent nature, I can only subdue you first and bring you before my master afterward."
The instant her voice faded, the golden cymbal rose into the sky.
Then it rapidly expanded.
Within seconds, it became a colossal golden prison spanning thousands of meters across the heavens.
The woman sighed softly.
"Fortunately, Master understood your strength and entrusted this treasure to me. Otherwise, even I would struggle to suppress you."
The pig demon immediately cursed.
"What nonsense are you spouting? You think just because you're holding a treasure that you can trap Old Pig?"
His body instantly transformed into black wind as he fled toward the mountains below.
"If Yellowbrow himself were here holding that thing, then sure, Old Pig would beg for mercy! But you? You think you're the Buddha Maitreya now?"
The woman watched him flee and sneered.
"So this is the once-famous Marshal Tian Peng? All bark and no bite."
"Bullshit!"
The pig demon shouted while escaping.
"I may have a pig body, but I'm not stupid! Even the Monkey King couldn't escape that treasure back then. Why would Old Pig stay around to die?!"
As he cursed, the black wind shot through the mountains at terrifying speed.
Then suddenly...
Bang!
A heavy collision echoed across the snowy cliffs.
The black wind exploded apart.
Axel stood where he was with a blank expression.
In front of him sat the pig demon, now back in his original form, clutching his swollen forehead in complete confusion.
"What the hell did Old Pig just crash into?" he muttered. "Bronze skin? Iron bones?"
He slowly looked up.
Then he froze after seeing Axel standing there unharmed.
Axel casually spread his hands.
"What are you staring at, your dad?"
The pig demon's eyes widened instantly.
"A human?!"
He jumped to his feet and grabbed Axel's pants in disbelief.
"What kind of monster are you? Did you refine your entire body into some divine weapon?"
His expression became increasingly horrified.
"This kind of body... it's almost like my Senior Brother's!"
He stared at Axel suspiciously.
"Tell me honestly, are you some transformed immortal? Nezha? Erlang Shen? Don't lie to Old Pig. I've never seen anyone with a body this ridiculous!"
Halfway through his rant, the pig demon suddenly stopped.
His face turned pale as he slowly looked upward.
The sky had gone completely dark.
Far above them, the woman's voice drifted down calmly.
"So this is why Marshal stopped running?"
Her tone carried faint amusement.
"Did you encounter an acquaintance? Or simply drag another innocent person into your troubles?"
She sighed lightly.
"Originally, only you needed to perish. But now another life has been implicated because of you."
The pig demon immediately cursed upward.
"You shameless woman!"
But before he could continue, a deafening metallic ring exploded through the heavens.
The sound violently shook Axel's ears.
The world flipped upside down.
In an instant, both Axel and the pig demon were swallowed by endless darkness.
They had been trapped inside the golden cymbal.
Outside the treasure, the woman glanced toward Little Leiyin Temple before suddenly changing direction.
She casually tossed the golden cymbal into the air and spoke softly to herself.
"If I deliver you directly to Master, the credit will belong to him alone."
Her gaze lingered on the treasure.
"But since you are already trapped inside, I may as well refine you personally."
A faint smile appeared on her face.
"Whether I enlighten you... or melt you into blood and ash, the merit will still become mine in the end."
