Cassandra vanished right in front of Johnny's eyes.
He froze, his jaw dropping so wide it looked like it could swallow Wade whole.
"How is this possible? Someone actually escaped Alioth, and even managed to chase Cassandra?"
"Alright, Johnny, overreacting like that is outdated. Try saying something useful."
Axel cut in with a relaxed smile, spreading his hands as he faced the group.
Logan and Wade remained silent, watching him closely.
"You all saw it. That's the situation," Axel continued calmly. "The good news is, no matter what she does, she cannot completely get rid of me. The bad news is, I cannot get rid of her either."
The moment he finished speaking, Axel disappeared.
At the same time, Cassandra had just returned to her base. She had not even taken a moment to breathe when flames flickered, and Axel stepped out in front of her.
"Wraith!"
Cassandra snapped, her voice sharp with frustration.
"Now I understand that name. Anyone you latch onto ends up haunted by something that cannot die, something that cannot be escaped!"
Even as she spoke, she teleported away again.
Axel was left standing alone among a massive crowd.
He glanced around at the stunned faces, then gave a casual wave.
"Hello, everyone."
No one responded.
Red Devil stepped forward cautiously, lowering his voice as he addressed the others.
"If I were you, I would not provoke him. Cassandra personally went out to deal with him, and she came running back while he chased her. That should tell you everything."
After speaking, Red Devil bowed respectfully toward Axel.
Axel rubbed his face, almost embarrassed, then casually patted Red Devil on the back.
"You are making this awkward."
He turned his attention to the surroundings.
They were inside the massive corpse of Ant-Man, a giant from another world. Axel recognized it immediately as the fallen Ant-Man from the Old Man Logan timeline.
Living inside a corpse like this, it suited Cassandra's twisted sense of humor perfectly.
While Axel observed the environment, whispers spread through the crowd.
"Why is he not wearing clothes?"
"No idea. Maybe it is a habit."
"He looks young, but there is something off about him."
"Still…"
The murmurs grew louder.
Axel exhaled and tapped Red Devil again.
"Help me get some clothes first."
Red Devil blinked.
"You actually said please?"
Despite his surprise, he quickly teleported away and returned with a set of clothes, handing them over.
After checking they were clean, Axel put them on without hesitation.
Then he gave a small nod.
"You all carry on. I will go find Cassandra again."
With that, he vanished.
A moment later, he reappeared in front of Cassandra once more.
She stood on a snow-covered mountain, the cold wind sweeping across the peaks. Axel landed barefoot on the snow, brushing it lightly with his foot.
"Sister, why come all the way up here? Planning to imitate the Ancient One?"
"I came here to get away from you," Cassandra replied flatly.
She stared at him, her tone turning colder.
"Before meeting you, I thought I had already seen the worst kinds of people. My brother Charles, I have killed countless versions of him. I even kept his wheelchair."
She continued, her voice steady.
"There was Thor who betrayed Asgard, Sentinels that wiped out entire worlds, Thanos who tried to challenge Death itself. All of them had power, but none of it mattered in front of me."
She pressed her fingers against her forehead.
"But you… an immortal body, the ability to reset yourself, and teleportation that tracks me wherever I go. How can all of that exist in one person?"
With a flick of her hand, Axel suddenly felt disoriented.
His body twisted unnaturally. His head dropped to his torso, his limbs shifted out of place.
He steadied himself, then nodded.
"Your ability really is troublesome. You are no longer bound to a physical form. You exist as pure mind and will."
Flames flickered, restoring his body instantly.
"You are not a god, but you are more difficult than one. You function like a rule. What you decide becomes reality. Nothing can harm you because you do not truly exist."
Axel tilted his head slightly.
"And most people, no matter how strong, are still bound by existence."
Cassandra said nothing. Instead, she slammed her hand against the ground.
A thunderous force erupted.
Snow and rock surged upward, forming a massive wave over two thousand meters high, crashing toward Axel.
He barely reacted.
With a simple palm strike, he released a burst of air that spread outward in rippling waves.
As the force collided with the incoming mass, the entire wave shattered and dispersed instantly.
"Sister," Axel said with a faint smile, "even I do not know how strong I am right now."
The mountain was left in ruins.
Cassandra stood on what remained, staring at him before letting out a quiet breath.
"Tell me, is there any way to kill you?"
Axel met her gaze.
"Then tell me, is there any way to kill you?"
Cassandra shook her head.
"There is. If something can block my telepathy, I would lose control over my abilities."
Axel vanished briefly, then returned holding a helmet.
"In theory, this should work. The Juggernaut's helmet, or even Magneto's."
Cassandra glanced at it with disdain.
"You ruined one of my toys."
With a flick of her hand, the helmet disintegrated into dust.
"I would never allow such a weakness to exist," she said calmly. "Any material capable of threatening me has already been altered. The rules here bend to my will."
She spread her hand slightly.
"My mind exists throughout the void. My will is part of it. There is nothing here that can block me."
A faint smile appeared on her lips.
"I only left a few helmets behind for amusement. Watching people struggle, believing they finally have hope, only to realize it was meaningless… that despair is entertaining."
She looked at Axel again, her eyes steady.
"And now, you understand. There is nothing here that can stop me."
