Chapter 188 - 188: Rage

"Damn it!"

The moment she heard Axel's words, Cassandra's expression twisted with fury. She immediately spat out the piece of brain onto the ground, then spat several more times in disgust.

Seeing her reaction, Axel shook his head with clear disappointment.

"Tsk, so even you can't handle my style. Johnny made you sound powerful and twisted, I thought you might actually appreciate my brain. Is this really all you've got? You've disappointed me, Cassandra."

"Go to hell!"

Cassandra lashed out, extending her right hand toward Axel.

In an instant, all the skin on his body vanished, leaving behind only his skeleton and exposed organs, still pulsing within his torso.

Nearby, Johnny, already nauseated, immediately vomited again.

He had to admit, this horrifying sight matched the nightmares he often had, himself being torn apart by Cassandra.

Logan, however, reacted differently. Seeing Axel reduced to such a state, his expression darkened as he let out a furious roar.

"Damn it!"

Without hesitation, Logan extended his Adamantium claws and charged forward.

Axel might have only been with them for a short time, but they had arrived in the Void together. That alone was enough.

In Logan's eyes, Axel was already dead.

With that thought, his rage surged. His claws drove forward with brutal force, piercing through Cassandra's back and bursting out from her chest. The impact lifted her off the ground.

Johnny's vomiting paused for a moment as he looked up.

"Well do… blech!"

"Woohoo! Logan, I knew you were the reliable one," Wade shouted excitedly. "Now that our champion Axel is out of commission, you're the one carrying this show."

As he spoke, Wade pulled out a knife and stabbed Cassandra again in the chest.

Then he glanced at Johnny.

"Relax, the audience can handle this. Anyone still watching is definitely an adult."

Laughing, Wade stepped in front of Cassandra and raised his middle finger at her.

Cassandra looked at him for a brief moment, then suddenly laughed.

Still smiling, she casually slapped Logan's claws aside.

A loud impact followed as Logan was sent flying. At the same time, Wade's knife spun through the air and lodged itself into his own chest.

"Compared to him, you're far more entertaining," Cassandra said calmly, adjusting her clothes.

She glanced at Axel's skinless body.

"I'll admit, you surprised me a little. But that's all. I had hoped you would last longer."

"Is that so?"

Axel's jaw moved stiffly, his voice dry and unnatural.

In the distance, Logan, who had just recovered, stared in shock.

"You're still alive?"

"Haha!"

Axel laughed, his exposed organs shifting with the motion.

"Not only am I alive, I can last at least…"

"A whole day?" Wade cut in, raising his middle finger again.

"An instant."

The moment he finished speaking, Axel's body collapsed. Bones and organs scattered across the ground in a grotesque heap.

Wade paused, then slapped his own face.

"My fault. If I hadn't interrupted, he might've finished his last words."

"Shut up," Logan snapped.

While the others assumed Axel was dead, Cassandra's expression grew increasingly tense.

She frowned, then spoke coldly,

"How long are you going to keep playing?"

With a snap of her fingers, the scattered remains vanished.

A burst of flame appeared, and Axel reformed completely, standing naked in front of her, unharmed.

Meeting her gaze, Axel smiled and lifted his hand, wiggling his fingers slightly.

"That trick earlier, the one where you touched my brain, can you do it again? Your technique was impressive."

He tilted his head slightly.

"But this time, try something different. I know you've spent a long time focused on one specialty, but stepping out of your comfort zone might be good for you."

Before he could continue, Cassandra's patience snapped.

She pressed her hand downward.

Instantly, Axel's body sank into the ground, plunging deep below the surface.

The Void stretched endlessly, so even at that depth, there was no core to reach.

The moment Axel disappeared, Wade drew his blade again.

"Now this is it. Main fight time. Logan, back him up. Johnny, are you planning to stand there all day?"

"Damn it," Johnny muttered, wiping his mouth as he forced himself upright.

But before he could act, a burst of flame erupted nearby.

Axel stepped out of it, landing calmly in front of them.

Cassandra's eyes widened slightly.

Axel casually raised his arm, revealing that his right hand was missing.

He gave a small grin.

"If anyone can guess where my hand is, I'll grant you a favor. Anything reasonable."

"Woohoo!" Wade immediately raised his hand.

"I know this one!"

Before he could finish, Cassandra's voice cut in sharply from a distance.

"It's here."

She reached behind her coat and pulled out Axel's severed hand.

Wade threw his hands up in protest.

"That's cheating."

"Shut up, Wade!"

Cassandra's anger surged as she slammed her hand downward again.

When Wade opened his eyes, he found his head attached to Johnny's lower back.

"Ah, what the hell!"

Panicking, Johnny grabbed Wade's head and kicked it away like a ball.

Logan watched the scene, then gave Johnny a satisfied nod.

"Well done."
