With a roar, Victor shattered the basement ceiling with raw force. Concrete rained down as Axel landed smoothly on the floor, dusting off his shredded coat. He pointed at Victor with a mocking grin.
"Damn it, Old Vic, one hand left. How are you gonna jerk off now?"
Victor groaned, "Do you need two hands for that? I can still manage! Actually, I probably shouldn't admit this, but yeah… I enjoy it. Most women don't understand my hobbies. Only the top-tier beauties can excite me — otherwise, I'd rather be alone than deal with boring women."
He slammed his head against the floor in despair. Diana, watching Axel's smug smile, pursed her lips.
"Axel, who the hell are you?!"
Axel shrugged. "Looks like your Lasso of Truth got something out of Victor. Efficient tool you've got there."
"Answer me!" Diana barked. "What kind of god are you? Death? Chaos? Life? Mischief?!"
She lunged, the ground beneath her shattering into dust. In an instant, she grabbed Axel by the neck and slammed him against the wall.
Axel struggled, but even with his increased strength, he couldn't move her pinky. He smirked, exploiting her momentary distraction to slip a hand into her breastplate.
"Woah, that's really good," he said, smacking his lips appreciatively.
"Die, Axel!" Diana roared, swinging her longsword. Axel's head exploded in flames, yet moments later, he reappeared behind her, teasing.
"I didn't flee~" he taunted, sniffing theatrically.
Diana's eyes blazed. She punched him hard in the diaphragm. Axel didn't dodge. The impact sent him crashing through the basement ceiling, flying through multiple floors, and soaring seventy meters into the sky.
Diana followed instantly, her movements a blur. She unleashed the shockwave of her Bracelets of Submission directly at him. Even Superman, in comics and film, had to respect their power.
Axel casually kissed his palm, absorbing the shockwave. The force tore through his clothes, flesh, and bones, yet moments later, he reappeared beside her. He landed theatrically, swinging provocatively.
"How obnoxious can one guy be!" Diana muttered. "Even fighting, he's unbearable!"
Axel waved. "Relax, it's not perversion. If I wanted that, I'd take advantage of you properly instead of handing out free samples!"
"Shut up!" Diana snapped. She threw her Lasso of Truth, wrapping Axel layer by layer around his crotch.
"Too tight, sister! Can't take it!" Axel shouted.
"Bear it and tell me who you really are!" Diana commanded, slamming him to the ground. The asphalt within twenty meters exploded under the impact. Axel raised his hand from the crater.
"As expected from the Lasso of Truth, I can't lie. I am Axel, a supervillain driven by interest!"
"That's not what I want! What kind of god are you?!"
"I'm not a god, Diana. Just a human," he laughed, vanishing from the Lasso.
Diana's eyes widened. Even the Lasso couldn't stop his teleportation. "What power supports him? Stronger than our Greek pantheon?"
Meanwhile, at Wayne Group, Alfred watched in disbelief as Axel materialized naked in Bruce's bedroom.
"Master, I am very old. One cannot—"
"Don't joke, Alfred. Get me some clothes. That woman destroyed my outfit!" Axel interrupted, pulling a suit from the wardrobe. Once dressed, he patted Alfred's shoulder.
"I'll be back soon."
Moments later, Axel appeared before Diana again, bowing elegantly.
"My dear Diana, may I feel the warmth hidden in your chest again? You can't imagine how it lights up my world~"
"Fuck!" Diana shouted, kicking him. Axel flew backward through three buildings and soared toward the moon.
Gotham woke to their battle. Police and reporters took to helicopters, searchlights illuminating the airborne duel.
At Wayne Group, Bruce and Lucius watched in horror.
"He vanished earlier than expected," Lucius muttered.
"No," Bruce said, frowning. "I don't think he's lying. Something's happening."
Their eyes widened as the monitors captured a valiant woman in Aegean-style battle armor slicing Axel in half midair.
