"Her name wasn't even mentioned anywhere in the book," she hissed, nails digging into her palm now, "so why does she keep interfering like she owns the plot?"


They would graduate soon and if she didn't secure her position before then the story would proceed exactly as it was written and she refused to be a background character in someone else's ending.


She exhaled slowly, forcing herself to calm down.
