Maï was wandering around, admiring all the details of the place she is. Nothing could prevent her from enjoying her dream. Then she bumps into someone. Just a young girl of around twelve, Wei Mei. In the story she was just a spoiled, sharp-tongued girl who was the last daughter of Mme Wei and not really significant.
Mei looked up at Maï, her expression turning to annoyed instantly. "Can't you see where you go, stupid girl?" Maï was stunned, partially very happy to interact with a character but also annoyed by the girl's attitude. "She's as insolent as in the story... I'll just apologize and walk away... or I could cause some drama! I'm not anybody anymore. I'm Xiaolan now!" she thought, then gathered some courage to respond, "Watch your tongue. I'm not your mate." Mei looked at her. A silence stretched... then she burst out in laughter. "You're really that ridiculous!! You think you can talk to me like that? Remember your place, pathetic and useless; you shouldn't even exist," Mei said bitterly, still laughing.
Maï felt a bit embarrassed, finding herself in a familiar situation. At a loss for words, she lowers her head. "Aww, is someone about to cry?" the insolent girl said. The words sank in. Maï was used to that kind of title, but what could she do about it? She had always felt like the weakest in front of everybody. "S-sorry..." she simply said and walked away while Mei still mocked her from behind.
She went back to her room, not really enthusiastic about being there anymore, but she immediately blew off negative thoughts: "I just interacted with another character!! she was so cute and real! she thought, strangely full of joy. Really... nothign could make her feel bad about this new life.
