The Demon Dragon is no more. The Demon King is gone and Hyrule is finally at peace once again.
Link, the hero of Hyrule, sheathed his legendary Master Sword and stared at the area where the Demon Dragon exploded. He is riding on the Light Dragon, a creature that helped him fight the Demon Dragon and kept him from falling to the ground.
Link looked down at the Light Dragon and shed some tears. The reason is that the Light Dragon was once a Hylian girl named Zelda. She was the princess of Hyrule during his time. She was transported to the past thanks to her time stone and she transformed into a dragon in order to repair the Master Sword with her light power.
There was a catch to Zelda's transformation. It is permanent. Once transformed, she lost her conscious, her memories, all of it. Link knew this when he was watching Zelda's memories during his travels to fight the Demon King. He knew this and he was devastated.
Link loved her more than anything; he fell in love with her when he first met her over a century ago. Initially Zelda didn't like him because she saw him as a living reminder of her failures when it comes to sealing away evil. Zelda eventually grew to like Link after he saved her one time from assassins.
As Link reminisced about his relationship with Zelda, he wished that he could go back to the day he lost her and change the event and alter the past, but he couldn't. So, instead, he knelt down on the Light Dragon's head, placed his Zonai hand on her and began to cry.

"No," Sonia said in a firm, but calm tone. "No, you haven't lost her. There is still time to make it right. And that is why you're here."
"You were brought here to us because we aim to give you a gift for upholding your end of the deal to save Hyrule from Ganondorf," Rauru followed.
After Rauru's words came out, the Zonai arm Link is fused with suddenly began to glow again, only in a golden light this time, and the hand moved by itself, aiming towards the dragon. Link is very confused to what is happening at the moment. He is becoming more confusing when he notices light leaking out of the arm and is zooming toward the dragon.
"What is happening?" The hero asked the royal couple.
"Your gift is being presented, my dear," Sonia said as she placed her hand on top of Link's Zonai hand.
Rauru placed his hand on top of Sonia's.
"What--" Link wanted to ask what the royal couple was doing but Rauru interjected.
"Trust us, Link," the first king said gently. "You know now what you have to do."
Link looked at Rauru for a moment and then he looked to Sonia who flashed him a smile. Link looked back at the dragon and, now with a lot of hope returning to his eyes, he becomes more focused.
"RECALL!!!"
The light leaking out of Link's Zonai hand enlarged itself and it is beginning to consume the Light Dragon. The light around the dragon suddenly got brighter and brighter until the dragon was no longer visible. Link's eyes couldn't handle the bright light for a while longer, but the royal couple urged him to keep it up.
Eventually, the light began to dim and there was something that got Link's full attention. It was small and glowing. It is a golden-headed Hylian girl with no cloth around her. The only thing that the girl is wearing is a necklace with a yellow stone on it.

"L-Link?" Zelda called out her hero's name groggily. "H-How are you..."
"Oh, Zelda!" Link cried, interjecting her question, and he embraced her gently. "You're awake!" He began to sob.
"Link?" Zelda sked as her energy is being slowly restored. "Hey, wh-- Why are you crying? What happened?" She separated herself from him and looked around her surroundings. "Where are we?" She finally realized that she is buck naked and gasped out loud. "WHY AM I NAKED?!"

"We brought you back, Zelda," Rauru calmly interjected her. "From your Draconification. This is a gift for you and Link. After all, he deserved this after completing his quest and defeating Ganondorf."
Zelda gasped and turned to Link. "You did it?!" Link nodded and revealed the Master Sword, which chirped at her. "Oh! It reached you after all! The plan worked!"
"Yes, it did," Link said with tears in his eyes. "I'm just happy that I brought you back." Realizing what he just said, he corrected himself. "With the aid of your ancestors that is."
Rauru and Sonia giggled at Link's silliness. Zelda did, too.
"So..." Zelda began after she finished giggling. "What now?"
"You two are going back home," Sonia answered. "To continue what you two started before your adventure down in the castle depths."
"No, wait!" Zelda pleaded. "Is there something we can do for you? Bring you back or--"
"I'm afraid," Rauru began with a grim tone, "it is too late for that, Zelda. Sonia and I have buttered our bread in the past and we have to pay for it. But do not fret for us. We will be moving on in peace, knowing that our kingdom will thrive with you and Link leading it to the future."
Moved by Rauru's words, Link and Zelda gazed at each other and they touched their foreheads together. When they separated, Link broke the silence.
"Thank you, King Rauru," the hero said to his Zonai mentor and to his wife. "Thank you both for this wonderful gift."
"Zelda's not the only gift, child," Sonia said and she pointed at Link's right arm.
Link gasped in shock as he realized that his Zonai arm is gone, replaced by his old one, but instead of it being burned by gloom, it is back to the way it was before the Upheaval occurred.
"Well..." Rauru began. "Now that this is all over, it is time for you two to return home and live your lives as best as you can."
"I agree," Sonia followed. "I'm hoping that you two would live your lives as the kingdom's future royal couple."

Sonia took her husband's hand and gives him the signal that it is time for them to move on. Rauru nodded, and the two began to dissipate. While they began to dissipate, they gazed at Link and Zelda one last time.
"Farewell," the royal couple said in unison. "And good luck."
And with that, the royal couple's dissipation is finally complete, and they have finally moved on to the afterlife, leaving Link and Zelda alone.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew into Link and Zelda and they are starting to see a bright light forming around them. Thinking that this is their time to head back, Link and Zelda gazed at each other for a moment and then shared another long, passionate kiss, which didn't break as the light completely engulfed them. There is a long moment of silence in the middle of a blinding white light.
Moments afterwards, Link has woken up to find himself falling from the skies over Hyrule. While he was struggling to comprehend on what's happened, he heard a familar voice screaming.
