Chapter 68 - THE MUTE MASSAI GIRL

AKAME ASSASINATION (4)

TAWE: SHINING SPEAR OF LIFE!

This is the fragment ability that the massai girl possessed. This ability is a conjurer, manipulation and emitter ability that is completely made from grass. She is able to manifest it whenever she is out and about hunting. The ability itself is really simple, she makes sure her hands come into contact with the grass in the planes, using fragment she's able to take some parts of the grass and conjure a spear.

Thus if the spear were to be broken in a fight, it would simply be re-conjured. She can also use the spear at a range which it is why its classified as a manipulation and emission type ability. She threw it after the beast had 'killed' Catherine, she did this on purpose.

Anyone could've been a danger to her family and she wasn't going to take that risk. Although killing people wasn't something she liked to do, so what better way than to let this giant creature do it for her.

 FWOO!

It went through it creating a giant hole on its left shoulder. The creature stood tall as it screamed, probably a proclamation of war. But the girl didn't really care, she'd heard so many proclamations that right now it didn't even matter to her.

The creature was big with ashy gray skin. It had one eye and a giant mount. "Little girl!" It proclaimed, "Come let me eat you."

But the girl off course was good without that offer, she didn't say anything but she did wave her finger back.

FWOOSH!

Again, through the things right shoulder. She then proceeded to catch the spear in her left hand. She turned it and aimed it again, however the creature seemed to have enough of this, because he was able to dodge.

 "Try again."

In truth the girl was a bit shocked, she hadn't encountered one capable of speech but she had heard of them. Although now she was beginning to question whether they were capable of gaining intelligence as well. Perhaps it was only a matter of when and not if, but even so this one was dangerous and she had to figure out a way of killing it before it found her village.

"Come now, do you know something?" It asked.

 "?"

"I am smart." It pointed at itself with a huge grin exposing its rotten brown teeth, "I can dodge you forever… yes?"

The girl gave him the classic, 'I don't care what you're saying' face and continued on the offensive. She called back her spear, which the creature dodged with ease. She then caught it and decided to use it as a mid-range attack weapon rather than a distance.

The ability itself had one weakness that the girl was aware of, she had to use her fingers to call back or send the spear forward. On top of that their were many annoying restrictions she had placed on the spear itself to allow for her to be able to instantly kill these beasts in less than three blows. However, if the creature itself was aware that it shouldn't get hit then it could become a bigger problem.

By figuring out which hand gesture means what, the creature was able to deduce where the spear was headed and were it was coming from thus dodging it. And this was no easy feat, the spear itself moved insanely fast. To have the ability to easily dodge it without even looking at it was very concerning.

The girl got up close and personal with the ugly beast.

"Me smart, you dumb." It kept on commenting moving back when the girl tried to stab it.

"Me smart, you can't beat me." Its face curled even more with excitement. But the girl couldn't be bothered to look up the creature, instead she looked down at its feet movement. She then stabbed the spear in the ground and it then disappeared blending in with the tall grass.

She then decided to use her fists for the next few attacks.

 "Those can't…"

BAM!

Right in the lower abdomen, this sent the creature rolling backwards coughing up what I can only describe as purple sludge.

 "Stupid girl! How dare…"

BAM!

She was locked on to him, not letting up even for a second. She made sure her fists connected with the creature's hairy body.

 "NO!"

She readied herself for another blow, but suddenly she saw a giant shadow being cast right above her.

"I am smart!" The creature had uprooted a eucalyptus tree and had decided to use it as a mid-range weapon against the girl. She had to jump back and avoid getting hit by the thorns and I suppose the entire tree.

"Yes, get back stupid girl, I am smartest than you."

The creatures intelligence was frightening. Being able to use its surrounding to combat the girl, truly she could feel a sense of urgency welling up inside of her. She needed to finish this, and finish it fast. She couldn't afford letting this creature go back to their tribe, not now anyway.

Suddenly a great idea popped into her mind at that moment, and it was something she has never done but at the same time something she needed to do for the safety of her tribe. She gave a simple smile at the thought.

 "Come, come!" It shouted.

The girl got to work on her plan running towards the creature, it tossed the tree at her but she managed to dodge it by moving to the side. Maybe it wasn't that smart after all, is what she began to think only to realize the creature had another tree in hand.

 "Come, come!"

 It baited her?

 "I am smart."

BOOM!

She had miscalculated, immediately after the tree had been thrown she thought she was in a good spot to commence her plans, only to realize that she had been tricked into thinking so. Now her body collided the base of the tree sending her flying in the opposite direction.

SCREEEE!

She skidded across the planes tearing some of her cloth and most of her jewelry.

"Me smart! You stupid!" The creature came closer at it continued to sing. "Me smart you stupid."

It tossed the tree to the side and continued walking up to the girl, who was now trying to get up off her knees. Her stomach churned, such a simple trick yet she fell for it hook, line and sinker. Disgraceful.

Her head was spinning and her entire left side ached, that tree had dealt massive damage to her body, both externally and internally.

"Girl I've been seeing you for a long time, you think you smart, but you are just stupid. I'm smarter than you."

His speech pattern also improved. This creature was a danger to her tribe, even if she died here it wouldn't help them combat it.

SWOOOSH!

The winds blew heavily, a sign of rain to come. Although it only rained on specific days around here, days that have been calculated. Whatever this was, it was no regular storm. And this creature might have been the catalyst for it.

But she wouldn't let that hurt anybody in her tribe. No, not again.

TAWE: SHINING SPEAR OF LIFE!

With the last remaining ounce of strength she could muster, she raised her index finger at the creature.

"What are you…" Before it realized what had happened it was too late, the grass beneath its feet turned into the spear. With one final push it went right through the creature from its genitalia all the way to its head. Splitting it open.

 SLOOP!

Purple goo splattered everywhere around the plains, and the girl let herself fall onto the grass. The winds grew larger and more fierce. Did I stop it… or make it worse? This was the only question the girl could ask herself before losing consciousness. But little did she know, she wouldn't be dying their or then. No, she wouldn't be dying anytime soon.
