Selene's POV
Ronan found me after the session.
I had made it as far as the corridor outside the training grounds before my body reminded me that opening the channel had cost more than I wanted to admit.
Draven had insisted on a cooldown routine after every major exertion. Slow shoulder rotations. Controlled breathing. Gentle stretches that looked deceptively simple until every muscle protested.
I worked through them one movement at a time, leaning against the cool stone wall whenever the dizziness threatened to return.
The exhaustion felt different today.
Usually it was sharp, like every ounce of strength had been stripped away at once.

This settled deeper.
It reminded me of the heaviness after running farther than I'd believed possible—not broken, simply emptied. Every muscle knew it had done real work.
