Haruka stood before the two, tension and anxiety clearly visible on her face as sweat began to drip down. Then she shouted:
"Hey! Daniel! Daniel! Can you hear me?!"
The large-built man interrupted her, saying:
"No use… he's dead, and you know that better than anyone."
Her eyes widened, anger igniting within them as she said:
"You bastard! What do you mean?!"
Edwin replied:
"The punch I gave you… was nothing compared to his."
She asked:
"Then why didn't you throw that same punch at me?"
He answered simply:
"Because you would have died immediately after."
She asked again, nervously:
"Then why don't you want me to die?"
He replied:
"That's beca—"
But the woman with him cut him off, smiling:
"That's enough, Edwin."
Then she turned to Haruka, still smiling:
"I'll get straight to the point… we want you to come with us." She extended her hand.
And said what do you think great isn't it
Haruka said in her mind that's so suspicious and i can't trust them rhen she replied:
"Why?"
She added, still smiling:
"You'll find out when you come."
Haruka laughed, then took a fighting stance:
"Sorry… but my mom told me never to go with strangers."
Josephine's smile turned sharp as she said:
"Then I have no other choice…" Then she ordered:
"Bring her. Now, Edwin."
---
The other one dashed forward at high speed.
Haruka thought: He's fast…!
In an instant, he appeared in front of her, throwing a direct punch at her face—
Haruka dodged at the last second, her hair scattering from the pressure of the air.
She didn't stop.
She lowered her body quickly, circled around him, and extended her leg to trip him—
But Edwin jumped into the air with unexpected agility despite his massive body.
Her eyes widened: How is he moving this fast with that body?
She quickly retreated—
BOOOOM!!
He landed like an iron ball, cracking the ground as dust rose into the air.
He gave her no time.
He charged again, swinging his arm like a hammer—
She dodged, but felt the air tear past her face.
If even one hit lands… it's over.
She started moving rapidly—dodging, bending, jumping, circling him—
But his attacks kept getting faster… and his sheer weight filled the battlefield.
Hit… hit… hit…!
Each strike left marks on the ground.
She thought:
If I keep dodging… I'll just run out of energy… I have to attack!
She jumped high—
Gathered her strength—
A direct kick to his head!
TAK!!
His head shook slightly.
I hit him!
She immediately followed up, trying to land a punch—
But—
In an instant, he grabbed her leg.
Her eyes widened:
"Damn—!"
Edwin smiled savagely…
Then—
BOOM!!
He slammed her into the ground.
Once…
Twice…
Three times…!
The ground cracked, dust scattered, and the sound of bones echoed—
She spat blood.
But he didn't stop.
He lifted her again—
Then threw her with force—
BOOOOOOM!!!
She crashed into a building, part of it collapsing, her body covered in blood.
---
Josephine sighed:
"Don't you think you overdid it? You know it'll be a problem if she dies."
He replied, laughing:
"Don't worry, she'll be fine… her body seems tough."
She responded:
"I don't trust you… so if she dies, you'll take responsibility."
He said:
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Then he went to retrieve her from under the rubble.
---
Josephine began thinking, smiling:
"I thought we'd finish faster than this… but even though we faced a few obstacles, everything is going just fine. The others must be stalling him…"
Then she smiled and said out loud:
"I hate to admit it… but I can't believe how well that rabbit's plan is put together… I'll pretend it was my plan and take all the credit again."
Then she started laughing loudly—
And suddenly—
Her head was cut off.
Her expression froze as she said in shock:
"Huh…?!"
As her head fell to the ground…
She saw Daniel, holding his sword, covered in blood.
He said:
"One down…"
He sighed, then added:
"Good thing she let her guard down."
Then he said:
"Should I move on to the other one?"
But before he could take a step—
He heard a voice.
Her severed head sighed and said:
"How boring… don't you have better methods?"
Daniel said, shocked:
"W-what…? H-how is that possible?!"
Her headless body moved…
Bent down…
Picked up her head from the ground…
Then began reattaching it.
Daniel took his fighting stance with his sword.
As for her, she smiled after reattaching it and cracked her neck:
"That's better."
Then she turned toward him and said:
"You… don't you think it's cowardly to ambush your opponent like that? I hate cowards like you."
He replied:
"You're talking as if you didn't ambush us first."
She said:
"Ah… you're right. Sorry, sorry, that was my fault."
Then she added, smiling:
"You seem like a reasonable person… unlike that girl. So I'll give you some advice—leave. We don't want to hurt you."
Then she continued:
"We only want to take her with us."
He asked:
"Why?"
She replied, smiling:
"Unfortunately, I can't tell you the reason… but what do you think? Isn't it a good offer? Let us take her, and we'll leave you… everything will be just fine."
He said, adjusting his stance:
"Sorry… but I have to complete my mission."
She sighed:
"You've left me with no other choice then…"
Her smile turned sharp as she said:
"Then die."
