Truth or dare "
"Dare"
"So you're really not going to choose truth?
Lets see about that. Next time I'm going to dare you to let me out of this icy home alone!."
I knew my threat was going to be fruitful when I saw the heavy change in their expressions. They didn't like it when I mentioned that all.
" Ok Dan it's your turn to make the dare. Tell Don what dare there is this time."
Clearing the silence that had lingered with her words Dan stared at Don with a sneaky and chicky grin. Whatever he was going to say was definitely not going to be in my favor.
"Don, I dare you to make purple spend a week with us without working. .''
I knew he wasn't going to say anything good. How could she not do any work. They were almost done with the renovations. And finally this ice castle had begun to look more like a home.
The warm colors and bright interiors a stark contrast to the dark desolation it used to be.
" Ok"
Ok? okay?! Just like that?!
Fine let's see how you're gonna get that done. ! In my head there was an outrage, what was he going to do bind me? however I kept an almost calm exterior not bothering to bicker as I awaited my turn to ask a truth.
There was something I needed to know.
And as though the heavens had heard me pray.
I watched the tip of the bottle that stared at Dan and the bottom at me. This was my shot and I couldn't waste it.
"Tell me about our wedding and how I got this tattoo."
There was not a single photo displaying their wedding. She knew they'd gotten her that ring a foggy memory of them putting it on her constantly replayed everytime she thought of it. However there was no memory of a wedding held. She had temporal loss of memories at times, only partially remembering all she can. However she didn't wish to forget such an important thing. Even if she couldn't remember, she wished they'd tell her, however they never talked about it. But now she finally had the chance to hear of it. It was surprising how they'd made so many memories together and yet all she could think about was that happy day. A precious memory lost.
She knew how they'd knelt to propose. Don caressing the lovely tattoo on her tummy. Dan watching the covered inscriptions so lovingly.
Don had asked then. To have a forever with her in it, to stay with them, to live with them, to love them and care for them as much as they do her.
She must've been so happy then. Maybe she was a lot more happier during that special day, she really wanted to know. She didn't care about which family member came or who did not, The members of the Darcen family in Kantama had downed to a mere three. Their brother, Gordon Darcen. And even he had visited so few times she barely knew him. Don and Dan had explained their family worked more independently. Their individualism was completely understandable, the Darcen empire was just too much to have three Darcens working in a sector. She didn't care about the family that didn't reach out so often though. The three of them were a better family without them anyway.
What she wished to know was the event that had faded from her memories and the tattoo they caressed as they proposed an eternity together with her.
"Ah.."
She was pulled out her wandering thoughts as a gentle tug sent her tumbling onto Dan's laps. His hands gently grabbing her legs and gently wounding them round his waist. Before she could sit comfortably on her new couch - Dan's lap- A startled gasp escaped her lips as she felt cold fingers slowly creep under her loose blouse, knowingly tracing the tattoo she knew had made it's permanent place on her tummy. She wondered how it could still be so sensitive after so long.
" This?" She felt the subtle warmth as Dan fully buried his head in her hair. He liked to do that. Sniffing and pecking, a gentle and intentional distraction. And was she so terrible for being so swayed. They had no idea how they both affected her.
"You asked for it Purple."
" I did?" She did? Well she had guessed as much knowing how crazily she loves them now , there was no doubt she would do something like that. It was probably the least of the things she could do for them.
"Most Darcens have that too..." Dan's soft bites had travelled down her collar bone. However this time it wasn't enough to take her mind of what he'd just said. Every Darcen?
"But you don't have it, Don doesn't either."
"You want to mark us Pur?"
Don's sudden embrace startled her, she hadn't felt him move closer, maybe she was too distracted by the man who still had his head buried in her chest doing things unthinkable.
"Possessive little thing. Brother, she wants to scribble on her men. Now, what do we do about that?"
A subtle sigh of disappointed escaped her lips when she was tugged away from Dan's sweet caresses only towt out an even bigger groan when Don's lips met hers.
Deep desperate want, an aching need,a missing stowed away for ages. Even though they'd always been together, Don kissed her like there was a deep, boring ,empty hole that just refused to be filled no matter how much he took.
And christ? She loved that. She loved that she was the one he wanted to fill that emptiness. Don was a quiet man, he wasn't as chatty as Dan, he'd rarely express his feelings. However when he touched her, caressed her, kissed her, made love to her, she knew, she felt it, the thoughts he just couldn't put to words.
"Damn, Purple,..breath." Dan's soft voice reached her muted brain. Prompting her to let out the breath she'd been holding in.
Yeah she forgot to do that often too. Don just had that about him. It was a pace she could never beat. A variation of the shattered mess Dan makes her. That damned man was an sorcerer of sorts maybe. Driving her into a delusion she couldn't walk out of.
Don took her breath, took over her thoughts gently but surely , interacting with her soul. But Dan, Dan stole her sanity. Dan was a silent creeper leading you into a sweet dance and holding you captive once you're too far gone to resist. Maybe, only she understood what these men did to her.
With a soft flick of his tongue against her lips, Don let her go,only to find herself desperately grappling for the air she'd resisted.
Gentle hands patted her back. She knew it was Dan. Don's fingers slowly caressed her week limbs. She looked at Don, she didn't realize when she had made such mess of his dark strands. His eyes, they're blazing again.
His fingers carelessly dragging through his curly strands. And maybe she wouldn't have noticed it if he hadn't moved his fingers, but they were subtly twitching. "The Pur effect," he'd called it when she'd questioned him about that.
And as if to confirm her thoughts, a deep , drunk voice whispered in her ear.
" You don't know what you do to me Pur."
"Come little Purple, let me show you some place fun."
"Where are we going?"
"I thought you wanted to mark your men.. Did you change your mind little purple?"
" Eh? Uhh No...you don't have to if...."
"We are proud to be yours purple."
This is how it feels to be loved. It is indeed magical.
