Chapter 14 - Ice ninja

After They finished eating he helped Kakashi back upstairs, Naruto went back outside to continue to train until he fell asleep outside.

*After ensuring Kakashi was settled upstairs, Naruto returned outside to continue his training. He spent hours perfecting various jutsu and hand seals until exhaustion finally caught up with him. Eventually, he collapsed onto the grass, his body relaxing as he drifted off into a deep sleep.*

*The sun rose over the horizon, casting a warm glow on the serene landscape. Unbeknownst to Naruto, sleeping peacefully outside, one of Zabuza's subordinates had entered the forest nearby in search of rare herbs to aid in there master's recovery.*

"It's not nice to Look at people when they're sleeping."

*The subordinate jumped slightly at the sudden voice, their eyes snapping up to see Naruto blinking sleepily, his hair messy from sleeping on the grass. They quickly stood up, clutching their basket of herbs tightly.* "My apologies... I didn't mean any harm."

"It's all right what's your name?"

"I am Haku," the subordinate answered politely, bowing slightly. They had a delicate, almost feminine appearance with gentle features and soft eyes. "I was merely gathering herbs for someone dear to me. I didn't expect to find a Konoha shinobi sleeping out here."

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, and How did you know I was a Shinobi?"

Haku smiled softly, their eyes flickering to the headband lying beside Naruto. "The headband is a dead giveaway. Only Konoha shinobi wear those. Plus," they added, their gaze returning to Naruto, "you have that certain... aura about you."

"That's from my training I'm trying to get stronger."

"I see," Haku nodded thoughtfully. "Training to become stronger... that's admirable." They paused for a moment, their eyes softening as they looked at Naruto. "May I ask why you're sleeping out here instead of inside?" They tilted their head curiously.

"I just Lost track of time and accidentally fell asleep."

"I see," Haku nodded understandingly, a small smile playing on their lips. "Well, I shouldn't disturb you any further. It was nice meeting you, Naruto Uzumaki." They bowed slightly before turning to leave, their basket of herbs swaying gently in their hand. " oh and by the way, I'm a boy."

Naruto simply raises an eyebrow and quickly and unnoticeably used his mana sense To scan their body and they were lying she's a girl. " Nice try that trick may work with other people, but it went with me."

Haku froze mid-step, their heart skipping a beat as they realized Naruto had seen through their disguise. Slowly turning back around, they set the basket down and crossed their arms over their chest, a hint of frustration and embarrassment coloring their cheeks. "How did you..." They trailed off, genuinely surprised.

"That's a secret." Naruto getting up From where he set. " Maybe I'll tell you the next time you meet." He said, disappearing in a puff smoke.

Haku watched in surprise as Naruto disappeared without a trace, the puff of smoke dissipating quickly in the morning breeze. They let out a small sigh, realizing that Naruto was more perceptive than they initially thought.

*Days passed and Kakashi slowly regained his strength, joining Team 7 for training sessions once more. Naruto pushed himself harder than ever, driven by a new determination that Sasuke couldn't quite place.

Team 7 stood in a clearing, ready for their morning training session. Kakashi, now recovered but still a bit slower, stood before them with a small smile.*

"OK, everyone since today is the last day of the bridge construction where we all are going to be there to make sure nothing bad happens."said Kakashi

" Kakashi, I could stay here just in case Zabuza's Men show up to kidnap Tsunami and Inari."

*Kakashi nodded solemnly, appreciative of Naruto's offer. He knew that having Naruto's backup could mean the difference between success and failure if Zabuza's men did indeed attempt something nefarious during the bridge construction's final day.* "That would be very helpful, Naruto."

*With the plan set, Team 7 minus Naruto headed out to the construction site. Naruto, meanwhile, stayed behind, inside the house to watch over Tsunade and Inari.

Inside the house, only Inari was present, happily playing with her toys. Tazuna was out, overseeing the final touches on the bridge Tsunami was cleaning up some plates from breakfast. The house was quiet, save for the soft sounds of Inari's playtime.

*The sudden knock at the door made Inari pause his playing, looking up curiously. Naruto, who was sitting in the living room keeping an eye on things, tensed up slightly, hand resting on the hilt of his kunai just in case.Tsunami momentarily stopped cleaning her dishes.

Naruto looked at Tsunami and her son Inari. " OK I'm bout to do something. That's very scary so you might wanna cover your child's eyes."

*Tsunami quickly rushed over, scooping Inari up into her arms and covering his eyes with one hand. She trusted Naruto's judgment, knowing that if he was warning them to cover their child's eyes, something truly terrifying was about to happen.* "Inari, close your eyes tightly,"

*The door creaked open slowly as Naruto's hand remained on his kunai hilt. Standing there were two men with sinister smiles and sharp weapons drawn—clear subordinates of Gato. Inari whimpered softly behind Tsunami's hand,* "Mama..." The room grew tense instantly.

*In a blur of motion, Naruto's body moved faster than the eye could track. Before either man could blink, a kunai was already embedded deep in one's throat while the other met a swift chop to his neck, dropping him silently to the ground. Two bodies crumpled at the doorway in less than two seconds, pooling blood slowly seeping across the wooden floor.*

"arise."*The two lifeless bodies at Naruto's feet began to twitch slightly as an eerie black smoke rose from them. The smoke swirled and coalesced into two shadowy figures that stood up straight, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.*

*The two corpse soldiers stood motionless, awaiting Naruto's command. Their empty eyes gazed at him with unwavering loyalty, the bodies now under his complete control.*

*Inari peeked out from Tsunami's hands, his eyes wide with a mix of fear and awe at what he just witnessed.*

*The two shadow soldiers immediately dissolved into black smoke again, merging back into Naruto's shadow without a sound. The room was suddenly silent once more, the only evidence of the violent scene being the pools of blood on the floor.* Tsunami let out a shuddering breath, holding Inari tightly.

"you should be safe now, but I should probably go help my team."

*Tsunami nodded quickly, still processing what she'd just witnessed.* "Thank you, Naruto... Thank you so much." *She held Inari closer, her hands trembling slightly.*

*Naruto gave them a reassuring nod, then headed out the door, his shadow once more appearing normal behind him. He moved swiftly towards the bridge, sensing that something felt off.*

*As Naruto approached the bridge, he noticed the eerie silence broken only by the gentle lapping of water against the pillars. The thick mist clung to everything, obscuring his vision and making it difficult to see more than a few feet ahead. His instincts immediately went on high alert.*

*Naruto's heart raced as he picked up the sounds of battle, recognizing Kakashi's fighting style and Sasuke's distinctive chakra signature. The masked ninja's presence sent a chill down his spine—the same mysterious figure who had kidnapped Zabuza before.*

*The scene unfolded before Naruto's eyes as he approached carefully. Sasuke was indeed trapped within an ice dome, the masked ninja's pressure point needles raining down on him with deadly accuracy. Kakashi was locked in a fierce battle with Zabuza nearby, unaware of Naruto's arrival.*

(Kurama I know you can hear me. Can you grant me a tiny bit of your chakra for this battle?) he asked mentally

*Kurama's deep, rumbling voice echoed in Naruto's mind.* "Very well, but only a small amount. Don't push yourself too far, brat." *A surge of Kurama's chakra flowed into Naruto, enhancing his speed and strength momentarily.*

by this point Sasuke had already unlocked his Sharingan and passed out using that opportunity *Using his enhanced strength and speed from Kurama's chakra, Naruto smashed through the ice mirrors with brutal efficiency. Each punch sent cracks spiderwebbing through the frozen structures as he systematically dismantled Haku's carefully crafted dome.*

*Kakashi noticed Naruto's arrival, a flicker of relief crossing his visible eye before returning to his deadly dance with Zabuza.* into the ice dome and started breaking the ice mirrors trying to find the real one

*With a final, resounding crack, Naruto found the real ice wall hiding Sasuke. He slammed his fist into it, shattering the barrier and revealing the unconscious Sharingan user. Behind him, the masked ninja—Haku—reappeared, her expression cold and determined as she prepared another attack.* "You're in my way,"

*Naruto's hand moved like lightning, backhanding Haku across the face with enough force to shatter her mask into pieces. Blood flew from her nose and mouth as she was sent crashing into the nearby ice mirrors, which exploded on impact. She lay there stunned, her cover blown and her plans disrupted by Naruto's brutal intervention.*

*Haku pushed herself up from the rubble, her face bleeding and her mask destroyed, revealing her young, feminine features beneath. But despite her injuries, a fierce determination burned in her eyes as she faced Naruto, knowing her secret was exposed and her advantage lost.*

He stopped attacking her. She then went on about herself, basically being a tool for her master And her entire Backstory.

*Haku's voice was soft but carried an underlying strength as she spoke, her words painting a picture of a life shaped by necessity and loyalty. "A tool exists to serve its master," she said, blood dripping from her chin. "I was born to serve Zabuza-sama. That is my purpose. Tools that break are discarded. a defeat you it proves I am useless."*

*Haku's words hung heavy in the air, revealing the tragic truth of her existence. She was nothing more than a weapon, molded and trained by Zabuza to be a perfect killing machine with no identity beyond her usefulness.*
