Lyra had agreed, which was unusual enough that Aelara had looked at her and Lyra had said simply that she wanted to show Mira where the research was filed, the permanent entry, her grandfather's name in the record, and that this was more important than the east wing which was category four.

Vaelor watched them go down the corridor, Caelum already talking, Lyra beside him with the quiet purposeful presence she brought to things she had decided mattered, Aelara between them and slightly behind, listening to her son explain the archive's indexing structure to her mother with the focused enthusiasm of someone who had been waiting for a sufficiently interested audience.
