She had moved three times before noon.
Not in any directed way, not with any particular purpose. She was just somewhere and then she was somewhere else and then somewhere else again, and each place was fine and each place was not quite right and she stood in it for a while and then went somewhere else. She had done this before, for years, and she knew the feeling well enough to recognize it and name it. She was unsettled and it was not going to be fixed by standing in a different room.
She knew that and she went to a different room anyway.
