Of course it started with Maren. Maren had been thinking about the logistics since the morning the announcement went out, which was three days before anyone else in the building had gotten that far, because Maren lived three days ahead of every situation she was in and considered this the minimum acceptable margin.
She came to breakfast on the fourth day with a document.
Aelara looked at the document. It was four pages.
She said: "What is this."
Maren said: "Preliminary framework. Venue considerations, timing windows, guest list parameters, security requirements, the overlap with the Conclave situation and how the timing of the ceremony interacts with the investigation timeline." She sat down and poured her tea. "Page three has the conflict matrix."
"The conflict matrix."
"Several of the proposed timing windows create diplomatic complications with the territorial delegates still in residence. I have mapped them." She picked up her cup. "Page three."
