Vaelor read it at the table with everyone present Aelara, Maren, Seraphine, the twins at the far end because they had stopped being excluded from briefings two weeks ago and nobody had formally revisited that decision. He read all three pages without speaking. Then he set it face up in the center of the table.
Maren read it next. Then Aelara.
Not a name. The investigation unit had been clear about that in the header no confirmed name, no documented identity that matched current records.
What they had was a description, assembled from three separate source accounts over the last ten days, cross-referenced against historical records going back further than the unit had initially thought to look.
