The sun rises along the horizon as Seo Jin remains asleep, unaware. Birds chirping in the distance, the sound of traffic hums in the background, and, soft sunlight spills through his bedroom window, everything exactly as it should be. Until, a loud explosion occur in the middle of the city causing huge shockwaves that woke up all of the people in Seoul, including Seo Jin. As he stands up from his bed and look at his bedroom window, he was shocked on what he saw.
A tall building almost like a skyscraper suddenly appeared in the middle of the city, the bottom of the skyscraper feels unnatural and some kind of black liquid is spewing out of it, above the skyscraper the sky is torned apart almost like a cloth, you can see all the stars and the pale, distant moon that should not be seen in broad daylight. Loud sirens fills the whole city, people are screaming and running, Seo Jin rushes to pick up his phone and tries to call Choi but he didn't answer, he tried and tried but still the same, suddenly his phone just went black.
"Sh*t", "What is happening right now?", he said.
He questioned himself as he looks at the city, that he once knew as a peaceful and vibrant city where violence feels like it didn't exist. Now turn into an apocalyptic city, smoke curled between shattered buildings, sirens echoed in broken patterns, and shadows moved where nothing should have existed. The streets that once carried people to work and school were drowning in panic and blood, and the skyline he had memorized no longer made sense. As he stood there frozen, he only has one thought is it the end of the world? the world that he grow up when he was a kid suddenly becomes almost unhabitable.
"Is this it? am i going to die without seeing mom and dad, is this the end of everything?"
He said as he clinches the pendant in his chest.
Then, the air changes.
The panic-filled noise of the city dulls, as though sound itself is being pushed aside. From the torn sky above the towering structure, a voice descends not loud, yet unmistakably clear, resonating through the streets, buildings, and even inside Seo Jin's mind.
"Is this planet 157152… Earth?"
a unknown being suddenly spoke
Seo Jin was terrified, he never heard a voice like that in his life, the unknown being did not shout or rage, yet each syllable pressed down on him, heavy and inescapable, as if resistance itself had already been accounted for. His legs trembled, his breath came shallow, and no matter how hard he tried to move his legs won't do it. As he looks at the sky terrified the Unknown being spoke again.
"I have stood above worlds like this before," he continued. "I have watched them pray for salvation, demand freedom, and tear themselves apart in the same breath. But, one thing is certain i will create balance between this universe and other universes, i will turn this universe into a proper battlefield, where everyone will kill and kill until they can't take it anymore, because i will become the holder of universes and a proper custodian."
As Seo Jin listens, one thought came to his mind, adapt to it's changes,survive this new world and kill whoever cause this catastrophe to happen.
