The morning light streaming through Rex's window at the Silver Rest had a particular quality—one that seemed to have decided, firmly and without consultation, to radiate cheerfulness. It was the warm, unhurried kind of light that followed a long night, carrying no traces of the previous events, which could be considered either generous or indifferent, depending on your perspective.
Rex woke up in his room and looked at the morning light for about three seconds before he stretched.
As he stretched, he felt the comforting pull of his muscles awakening, urging him to embrace the day ahead. With a deep breath, he pushed aside the remnants of sleep and rose, ready to face whatever exciting adventures awaited him outside his door.
"Nrrrggghhhh... phewwwwwww~!" Rex then takes a lot of deep breaths while stretching his body. "I did it, didn't it...?"
