The living Vulture.
No that's not right .
The mechanical Vulture.
Not that either.
The guy who messed around too much with technology and turned himself into an abomination?
Yes, that sounds quite accurate.
Spiderman argued with himself internally on what to name the Vulture as he dodged hand beams.
Those energy beams that once came out of his armour now came out of his hands. He was shirtless and annoyingly muscular.
Dodge, backflip, roll, jump left —spider sense?
Again?
The attacks were endless, and all Spiderman could do was dodge. Suddenly, a hand grabbed his head and slammed him into the already destroyed road. He was about to get up but something sharp stabbed his side. But that wasn't the end. He was lifted up again.
With the sharp claw still in his stomach.
"Little spider. I warned you, but you didn't listen."
Gahwk!
Spiderman coughed out blood.
Anna's voice cut through the chaos, urgent and trembling
"Peter, your vitals are dropping fast! The suit's monitors are screaming — oxygen saturation, heart rate, everything is plummeting. Forget the Vulture! Escape before your body gives out. If you stay locked in this fight, the serum-fused wings will tear you apart along with him. You're not just risking defeat… you're risking collapse. Get out, now!"
The tension in her words made it clear: this isn't just strategy anymore, it's survival.
But Spiderman ignored her.
He slammed his fist on Vulture's claws, snapping them in the process.
With a quick mid air backflip, he kicked the Vulture in the head. Then he dragged the metal claw out of his stomach.
"I'm fine Anna. But I think we should worry about Mr Toomes here, those wings are obviously doing more harm than good." Spiderman said, swinging away because the Vulture kept on sending beam after beam.
BOOM!!
He twisted his body mid air, passing through a flying car with destroyed doors. He landed a heavy punch on the Vulture, but the latter didn't seem like he felt pain anymore.
He grabbed Spiderman wrist and pulled him closer, stabbing his chest.
"PETER!!!" Anna screamed, tearing up.
Vulture flung his unmoving body to the side, and like a rocket, launched himself towards Norman's house.
"PETER! Oh God! Peter please stand up!" Anna screamed.
But he wasn't responding.
Back at the WEB, Anna panicked.
She looked around, wracking her brain for anything that could help.
Then her eyes slowly turned to his costume in a mannequin.
It was red and gold, something new she was working on. It had four mechanical arms, and it looked quite different. A holographic projection displayed the name:
"Iron Spider "
🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🫠🫠🫠
Peter groaned as he slowly moved his hand.
"Peter! Oh my God you're alive! Head back to the WEB now!"
"No...I h-have to .. continue.... can't let the Vulture go...."
"Peter! Get your injured ass back here!" Anna yelled.
Twenty minutes later, Peter's injured body dragged itself out of the elevator.
"Listen, Vulture is the strongest for you've ever faced, and you're not prepared. You would've defeated him by now if the GODDAMN WRITER had just decided to make the Vulture like every regular Vulture! I mean seriously? Ultra flying Knight Vulture?"
"Anna who are you talking to?" Peter asked, slowly lying on a bed. Mechanical arms began treating him.
"Ahh never mind me. I created a new suit, one that can help you defeat the Vulture. Ever heard of the bird eating spider?"
"Umm Goliath bird eater or something?"
"Yes. I have developed the Iron spider. It's a special costume, in the sense that it has —"
"Can it stop the Vulture or not?"
"I don't know. But it's worth the shot."
Peter walked to the suit and it opened like a pod. He stepped inside and it tightened itself around him.
"Woah, now this is cool."
"The mechanical arms work with commands given from your brain, just like the way you use your limbs."
Peter nodded and ran towards the elevator.
"Thanks Anna. You're my hero."
She smiled and he left. A sad tear rolled down her cheeks.
What he had told her, was exactly what her younger brother said before he died.
🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️
Spiderman swung towards Harry's house —or mansion.
Suddenly a voice spoke to him.
"Hello there. My name is P.A.U.L. — which stands for Personalized Artificial Utility Liaison. I was created by Anna. She began working on me before she met you, and now she has redefined my primary function: I exist to assist you."
"What the hell!" Spiderman yelled, crashing into a wall.
"Anna, what was that?"
"Well that is simply your AI assistant. Or Butler. Or sidekick, I don't know! Paul is going to help you incase anything goes wrong. I'm going to severe the connection between our comms so you can get used to working with him. He knows everything. I built him alongside some great minds." Anna replied.
"YOU BUILT A F*CKING AI !!" Spiderman couldn't help but curse in shock.
"Yes Peter. Now go."
There was a beep.
And she was gone.
"It appears Anna has severed the connection."
"I know Paul."
Silence.
"Where is Norman Osborn?"
"Alert: Norman has been taken by Adrian Toomes. Their trajectory suggests movement toward lower Manhattan, near Pier 17. Coordinates locked. Would you like me to project his next possible destination?"
"You can do that?"
"Yes, I can do that. Initiating live feed protocols… streaming visuals from Toomes' vicinity. Data packets incoming. Would you like me to extrapolate his next possible location based on current trajectory?"
"Well yes do that."
Suddenly, a video began playing in his lenses. It wasn't really obstructing his view so he could easily move too.
He saw Vulture and Norman, and he knew exactly where they were headed.
Spiderman couldn't help but grin.
"Paul, how's Norman looking? Is he hurt?"
"Well excluding some minor scratches, Mr Osborn seems fine."
Adrian landed in an abandoned seaport. Honestly speaking the amount of abandoned places were starting to get suspicious to Spiderman.
Norman coughed as he was forcefully dropped.
"What exactly do you want Adrian?" Norman asked, stepping back slowly.
"I want your life Norman." Adrian replied, but instead of his usual voice, something that sounded like a beastly growl came out of his mouth.
"What have you done to yourself?" Norman frowned, still walking back.
Adrian charged forward, claws visible —
BAMMM!!!!
Spiderman's leg connected smoothly to Vulture's face, making him crash like a rag doll.
"You again! You never die do you?" Adrian roared in anger, charging towards Spiderman.
He threw a punch, but the latter dodged with a weave to the side, and delivered an uppercut to Vulture's face. Their brawl continued as they exchanged blows and kicks.
Suddenly, Vulture roared and dived forward, his body becoming a blur. The wall crawling hero's spider sense didn't warn him early, and he got hit by the full force of Vulture's attack.
"ALERT! ALERT! Critical diagnostics report: severe structural compromise detected in the suit. Bio‑scan confirms two fractured ribs and a dislocated shoulder. Pain suppression protocols recommended. Shall I initiate emergency repair sequence and reroute combat assistance to compensate for reduced mobility?" Paul announced in its usual robotic voice.
But Spiderman couldn't even focus anymore. The world was becoming blurry, and his side hurt like hell.
With a boom, he crashed into a large metal crate, leaving a huge dent on it.
Vulture swooped down, grabbed him, and tossed him into the air. Then with his hand beams, he blasted Spiderman down. The hero crashed and a huge crater appeared.
"Automatic repair system engaged. Structural regeneration underway. Auxiliary mechanical arachnid limbs primed and standing by. Authorization required for deployment. Confirm command to release enhanced appendages into active combat support." It was Paul again, but this time Spiderman listened.
"Deploy the limbs Paul."
"Deployment authorized. Mechanical arachnid limbs released. Systems online, hydraulics stabilized, and combat augmentation engaged. Your mobility has been restored to 87% efficiency. Shall I synchronize limb protocols with your neural interface for seamless control?"
"Yes Paul, do that too."
"Neural synchronization in progress… Interface alignment complete. Mechanical arachnid limbs now fully integrated with your neural pathways. Response latency reduced to 0.03 seconds. You have seamless control, Spiderman. Combat efficiency restored to 100%."
Vulture descended as usual, his claws visible and his eyes red with blood and anger.
Suddenly, a hand emerged and grabbed his neck.
It was Spiderman.
His body was lifted up by the mechanical arms.
'Take Anna away from me and I'll be a dead man.' Spiderman thought to himself, a grin appearing under his mask.
The limbs folded slightly, and suddenly straightened out, pushing them out of the crater. He punched the Vulture all through, until they finally crashed into another container.
He threw a punch but the Vulture grabbed his hand, twisted it, and headbutted him. There was a cracking sound as his skull hit secondary adamntium armour. Ignoring the pain, Adrian twisted his body in a weird 360 manner, pushing Spiderman away. His mechanical arms stabbed the ground, interrupting his flight.
JAB!
Once again his spider sense had been too late, and three mechanical feathers stabbed his suit, impaling his body.
But Spiderman didn't have the luxury of thinking about the pain, because Vulture did his Falcon dive, hitting him straight in the chest.
Paul said something about damage and all, and that the suit couldn't repair itself.
Spiderman crawled out of the destroyed container he crashed into. His golden and red suit sparked a little before the glow in the spider symbol died. The suit couldn't repair itself again. He could still control the arms though.
—spider sense —
Spiderman raised his hand and caught Vulture's fist. With a bang, he punched the villain continuously, till his face was a bloody mess.
The Vulture, in a desperate attempt to escape, fired his metallic wings at a crane, causing it to fall.
It's target?
Mr Osborn. Who, being one of the smartest men alive, was actually trying to leave but each time he runs one of them always crashes next to him.
Spiderman webbed Vulture to a wall and swung to the crane. He swung around it, shooting webs to hold it from falling.
THWIP! THWIP!
He has succeeded in stopping the falling crane.
He turned to face the Vulture, and discovered he was gone.
But his spider sense was tingling.
Weirdly tingling.
Like it wasn't trying to warn him about himself, but about Mr Osborn —
"Mr Osborn!" Spiderman yelled, pushing the billionaire out of harm's way.
Vulture's speeding body crashed into Spiderman, and his body disappeared from view.
BOOOM!
Spiderman finally crashed somewhere he didn't know.
He couldn't actually think straight anymore as he lay on the floor, in a dark space, bleeding to death.
He was a hero, but he was also just a 16 year old boy. He didn't know any special martial arts, just some shit he watched on TV and YouTube.
Did he want to fight?
No.
Did he have homework to do?
Yes.
Was he tired?
Yes. He was.
'How long have I been fighting this guy? I thought he'll run out of juice soon but he doesn't move like he broke a sweat. But look at me I'm a bloody failure. I can't do anything right, now I'm going to die, wearing this stupid mask—'
'You're not strong enough!' a voice yelled in his head.
'What—who are you?'
'I think you should ask yourself that question. Who are YOU?'
'I....I don't know.'
'You're a disgrace! You're bleeding, you have broken ribs, your skull is damaged. But those are all fucking excuses! Stand up you fool! Stand up and fight, because you are Spiderman!'
Vulture smirked, before coughing. He looked at his palms, and he saw what looked like his internal organs.
"Shit! Good thing I handled that Spider fool." Vulture said, flying towards Norman, who was actually very close to escaping.
He saw the look in Norman's eyes, the shock, and then the fear.
"What's going on?" He muttered, Norman wasn't looking at him, he was looking at something behind him.
He tried to turn but it was too late.
CRACCCK!
A violent fist struck his face, and he crashed like a bird on weed.
"You're not strong enough! No wonder your uncle left you!" A voice yelled, and out of the smoke jumped Spiderman, his aura different. The mechanical arms looked menacing, and the way he stared at Vulture through his broken lenses made the villain crawl back.
Before he could move, Spiderman's leg slammed on his back, and the hero ripped his wings out!
"You think you know a monster! I'll show you a monster!"
The Vulture screamed in pain as blood and some stuff I rather not write pour out of the hole his wings left.
Yes he had beams, and yes he tried to fure them, but he lost his arms in the process, as Spiderman destroyed his hands with his mechanical arms.
"You should've ran away when you had the chance!"
"Arhhhhhhhhhhhh! Please! Stop! I give up! Please!"
"That's funny, because I give up too. I give up trying to be the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman!" Spiderman yelled, as he stabbed Vulture's right eye with his mechanical arms.
The scream was inhumane, and so was the action.
The mechanical arm still in his eye, Spiderman lifted Vulture up, ready to finish him off.
"Don't do it kid, you have a great life ahead, so don't spoil it now." A voice spoke from the corner. It was Norman.
"Shut up!"
"Very well then, kill him. And become the monster he was.
Look at yourself, is this what your uncle would've wanted Peter?"
Spiderman gasped as he dropped Vulture.
"What have I done! No—how did you know?"
"I am Norman Osborn, the smartest man alive."
"I thought that was Reed Richards?"
"Now I think you should shut up. I always knew, the way you suddenly changed after the spider bit you. Harry was always complaining about how you missed their little outings. Then I connected the dots, the day Peter's around, Spiderman isn't. And the day Spiderman IS , Peter isn't."
"Wait you knew about the Spider bite?"
"Yes. But don't worry, I am not going to meddle into you affairs. Thank you for saving me Spiderman, and I hope we can work together sometime. Now go, and leave that bird for the police."
🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️
Anna hugged Peter so tight he was sure he heard another rib crack.
"After the camera got destroyed I was so scared. I mean sure I hacked into some security cameras there but I still couldn't see you well." Anna said, sobbing heavily. "I didn't wanna lose you too."
"It's fine now Anna, it's over."
"Peter."
"Yes?"
"What exactly happened out there?" Anna asked as he lay down on the hospital bed.
He didn't have an answer, because he didn't know what actually happened too.
He seemed to have —
Lost control.
