Mikaela's eyes open to pure darkness.
"What the hell is this?" He mutters, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to see properly.
Have I gone blind or something? Don't my eyes work anymore? I can't see shit.
He shakes his head, ceasing the morbid thought as he spots another person in the space. It's a woman wearing a plain dress with a floral patterned apron backed away from him.
Mikaela, in a state of confused relief, takes cautious steps to meet the woman. The floor ripples like water beneath him with every foot movement.
"Hey, excuse me." He calls to her to draw her attention. When she doesn't respond, he assumes she can't hear him, so he places his hand on her shoulder to turn her around. He stands there, in awe and disbelief of who he sees before him.
"Nana…?" He utters, taking in the sight of his supposed deceased grandmother, Maeve in the flesh, alive and seemingly healthy looking, "What are you doing here? How is this possible-"
