The ninth month had finally arrived. The tension in the Watson mansion was palpable, but it was a different kind of tension—one built on pure anticipation. Every suitcase was packed, every emergency route to the hospital was memorized by the Section E boys, and the nursery was practically glowing in wait.
But as the sun rose on the morning of the delivery, the atmosphere was uncharacteristically quiet.
Jay-jay sat on the edge of the bed, already dressed in comfortable clothes for the hospital. Her hands were trembling slightly as she rested them on her bump. Despite her "Queen" persona and her reputation for being the fearless heart of Section E, she was human..
"Hey," Keifer whispered, kneeling on the floor between her knees. He took her hands in his, grounding her. "You're shaking."
"I'm just... I'm a bit scared, Keifer," Jay-jay admitted, her voice small. "The accident, the hospital... what if something goes wrong again?"
Keifer looked up at her, his gaze intense and unwavering. "I am right here. The best doctors in the country are right there. And the boys are outside probably currently arguing over who gets to hold the babies first. Nothing is going to happen to you. I won't allow it."
The drive to the hospital was like a royal procession. The Section E boys followed in a motorcade, their faces a mix of excitement and protectiveness. But once they reached the private wing of the hospital, the chaos settled into a heavy, emotional weight.
As the nurses prepped the gurney to take Jay-jay into the Operation Theater (OT), the hallway became a sea of familiar faces. Ci-N was holding back tears, Josh was clutching a "Welcome Home" banner he'd made, and Felix and David stood like sentinels at the door.
But it was when the nurse said, "It's time, Mrs. Watson," that the reality truly hit.
Keifer walked beside the gurney until they reached the sterile double doors. He stopped, holding her hand so tightly his knuckles were white.
"Jay-jay," he said, his voice thick with an emotion he rarely let the world see. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes. "You gave me a life I never thought I deserved. You turned a 'Cold Prince' into a man who actually has something to lose."
Jay-jay reached up, wiping a stray tear from Keifer's cheek. "And you gave me a family, Keifer. Not just the twins... but all of them." She looked over at the Section E boys, who were all watching with bated breath.
"I love you," Keifer whispered, leaning down to press a long, lingering kiss to her forehead. "I'll be right here. The second you come out, I'll be the first thing you see. You, Keira, and Jayden."
"I love you too," Jay-jay replied, her own eyes overflowing.
As the doors to the OT slowly swung shut, separating them, the "Cold Prince" didn't look like a CEO or a leader. He looked like a father waiting for his world to begin.
