Yeshua and I rode our bikes again going home. Most of the people in this town that we came across do not pay attention to us. Well, some greet us. So we greet them back with a welcoming smile. And then I wondered…
"Yeshua, should we greet all people who we cross paths with in the road? Or anywhere in general?" I asked what I wondered just now. I saw in my peripheral view that Yeshua glanced at me and so I glanced at Him as well. "Not all."
"How come?"
"The Holy Ghost helps you to discern, yes?" I nodded as a response. "And so, when you feel uneasy — should you greet the person who makes you feel that way?" Yeshua asked again. "No."
"Why, Maria?"
"Because they make me feel uneasy." Yeshua nodded. "Then what does that tell you?"
"It feels like a warning of something." Yeshua nodded again. "Yes. Greeting or talking to others creates a bond between you and the other. Not all bonds produce good fruit. Some make the fruit rotten. Spoiled." Said Yeshua then He glanced at me again. I saw it in my peripheral view.
"Wait, what good fruit? Like apples and figs?"I was confused. Yeshua chuckled. "No. Fruits of the spirit, that is the good fruit."I still don't get it."It is written in the epistle of Paul to the Galatians, that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
"I-uh… I don't know what 'epistle' means." Yeshua chuckled.
"You can go and learn it later." said Yeshua with a warm smile on His face.
We're still biking, in case you all forgot. Wait, who's "you all" am I talking to? Certainly not these people around us. Yeshua chuckled. Yep. He heard it."Guard your heart, Maria, for everything that you do flows from it." said Yeshua as He once again glanced at me, and so I glanced at Him as well.
Soon, we finally arrived at my family's house. No trace of anyone left inside. Both Mom and Dad went to work and Alice went to school.
Yeshua and I parked our bike at the garage then I went to the backyard to enter at the back door. But then I noticed that Yeshua didn't follow me, so I went back to the garage.
"You're not coming, Yeshua?" I asked while looking at Him. Yeshua smiled softly then shook His head as His response. I blinked at Him a few times and then went inside the house through the back door to get ready for class.
As I was arranging my things, I stopped and then I asked… Why didn't Yeshua go inside the house? It took a few minutes before another voice responded. "He's protecting you." From what? And another few minutes. "From the mouth of them who sparks wild fire all throughout the forest." "Wild fire all throughout the forest"? What do you mean? It didn't take a minute before the voice responded again this time.
"What do mouths do?" Blow. Eat. Scream. Shout. Whisper. Whistle. Speak… Speak! Oh! Gossip! "Rumors spread like wild fire"! Of course! Since this is a small town by the sea, everyone knows everyone!
