Su Meng glared at his mischievous grin, her cheeks puffed out. "But didn't you also promise that you only cared about me and Mengmeng, and wouldn't look at other women again?"
Jiang Ning playfully dodged. "Hey, *you* were the one who brought up the three-year deadline in the first place!"
Su Meng pouted. "I don't care! You're not allowed to flirt around with anyone, in the neighborhood or anywhere else. Hear me?"
Jiang Ning quickly tried to placate her. "Alright, alright, I promise I won't flirt with anyone else outside. Is that better, my dear wife? We've finished our bath, shouldn't we get some sleep now?"
Su Meng heard the double meaning in his words and remembered something she'd accidentally let slip earlier that evening while they were out for a walk. Her face flushed crimson, and she retorted with a coquettish pout, "Ah, Jiang Ning, you big bad wolf! I'm not talking to you anymore!"
With that, she pushed away from his embrace, turned over to lie on the other side of the bed, and faced away from him, pretending to be angry.
But before she could even compose herself, a strong arm snaked around her slender waist, pulling her back into his arms.
