After the talk with his parents, Ernest couldn't help but feel dejected, though he knew this actually doesn't change anything between him and his parents.
A little part of him actually wished he didn't know all of that. Suddenly he wondered what suddenly made his parents tell him about his origin without him even asking.
"I need to ask them," Ernest thought and then proceeded back downstairs to ask to go ask them.
"Mom, Dad, what actually made you guys decide to tell me about how you found me without me even asking?" he asked, confused.
"Sighhh." Julian sighed helplessly and proceeded to say, "This is information that is actually only known by the mid- to high-tier devourers, but we should be allowed to tell you since you are family."
"We will be going away very, very soon, even as soon as tomorrow morning if we get the message tonight," he said helplessly.
