Chapter 7 - WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED.

[TRATEX: DUNGEON BOSS]

Is that so? Tratex's smile widened, showing his too-sharp teeth.

His blade extended longer than it should as the golden flames around it grew stronger.

Diaman looked at the people in the bus, then the angels. He could create a tick-like parasite that leeches onto the mana pressure of the dungeon, then he could keep the bus passengers inside so they don't die from the mana pressure of the dungeon.

But the only problem—he already had 25 parasites active. Twenty-four T. Gondii controlling the remaining devil angel minions and Carapace masking his face.

'That's it. I won't need the mask when they're inside the tick.'

"Attack him." Diaman pointed at Tratex, and the devil angels in his control attacked.

They launched themselves at Tratex with their blades raised.

Diaman gasped as he pulled Carapace off his face. The parasite then dissolved away. Diaman massaged his face, still feeling odd. "Now let's create a new—"

"Now's not the time."

[BONUS REWARD AVAILABLE]

"NO, I REGRET IT!"

[HOST HAS HEARD MY REWARD]

"I DON'T WANT TO!"

[FINE!]

*Sigh.* "Parasite Lab, engage!"

After creating the parasite Tickete, Diaman put the bus inside the tick-like parasite. He created it in a way that it had respiratory organs that helped keep the people breathing and safe from the mana pressure.

Diaman looked in the distance. He could see Tratex had defeated all the devil angels. At least it was only them left.

[SP: 95 ]

'Good. I have enough SP to finish this fight.'

Diaman watched Tratex look around, seeing the bodies of his minions who had turned against him. His blade had shown no mercy but violence. *Now, where is that mortal?*

Before he could begin searching for Diaman, He shot through the air with force and speed. He drove his fist into Tratex's ribs.

*Crack*

"Looking for me?"

-10 HP

'Damn, just ten?'

Tratex groaned. He gripped his blade tighter and swung. Diaman gripped his wrist, preventing Tratex from using his blade, and went for a jab.

You're still mere—

-10 HP

Diaman didn't wait to hear his words. He swept his leg, dropping him to the white stone ground.

*Boom*

The ground formed a crater. Web fractures spread on the ground. Diaman kept him pinned down for a second before Tratex pushed him off.

Before Diaman could land on his feet, Tratex got into his stance, ready for a quick draw. The mana pressure around his presence grew stronger as his white aura became blinding.

He drew his blade and sliced the air, projecting a thin wave of light.

Immediately Diaman's feet touched the ground, he spun on his heels and moved away from the attack. It missed him and crashed to the ground, carving deep into the earth with a deafening sound.

I'm SSS rank too.

Diaman tensed the muscles in his leg. His leg was buffed. He stomped his feet to the ground, sending a wave of earthquake toward Tratex.

Tratex leaped into the air, avoiding the earthquake. Diaman met him with a kick to the chest followed by a spinning kick, sending him flying.

-20 HP

-30 HP

[930 HP LEFT]

'Tsk, this isn't doing anything. And it feels like he isn't even trying to fight me.'

Let me finish this quickly.

A flash of light was the only thing Diaman saw before his hand was cut off. It was faster than light itself. He felt the blade already carving his skin before the light flashed.

Pain screamed through his body. He gritted his teeth, looking at his severed arm laying on the ground. Then another strike came his way. This time he didn't underestimate it. He moved away quickly. Tratex's blade nicked him.

Diaman had assumed Tratex could only move at the speed of light since his power was light-based, but Tratex moved faster than the speed of light.

Again, Tratex attacked, aiming for Diaman's other arm. The same flash—which made it clear to Diaman that before the strike, Tratex's mana condensed, then the flash. Using the condensed light to move faster than usual.

Diaman moved away, putting a gap between him and Tratex. His chest heaved. He looked down at his bloodied uniform.

'Shit, how can I hide this from Mom?'

'I shouldn't even be worried about this now.'

His arm still throbbed with pain, but the way Diaman processed the pain wasn't normal for a teen.

'I need to heal before I die from blood loss.'

But Tratex didn't give him breathing space, attacking from different directions with blinding speed. Diaman kept dodging the attacks but couldn't create a parasite that could heal him.

'This is getting annoying.'

"Enough of your shenanigans."

Once more, Tratex's mana condensed.

So Diaman snapped his finger and infected him with six AETHERPHAGE at key mana veins in his body.

"AETHERPHAGE, activate."

[INFESTED PARASITE]

AETHERPHAGE (ACTIVATED)

VECTOR: TRATEX

USE: BLOCK MANA FLOWING THROUGH VEINS

It had an effect on Tratex immediately after activating, as Tratex struggled to control his mana or even attack. Since AETHERPHAGE was only S Rank, it could only buy Diaman little time—unless he poured more mana into it, but he couldn't. His mana was infinite, but not his health, and channeling out mana from a wounded body would destroy his body more.

Since the parasites Diaman had infested in himself had been leeching on his mana, and he couldn't use mana for now, he had to make the parasites live on something else in his body.

'I should sacrifice my blood for now to close the wound. I can sort out my blood loss later.'

"Endoparasite... produces pluripotent stem cells. Accelerate bone and tissue repair a hundred times."

Diaman's arm tingled as the parasite worked its magic. His bones crackled. Stem cells connected, growing his bones back. Flesh knitted on his bones. He jerked, feeling the parasite drain his blood.

Ahead of Diaman.

Tratex's mana flared back as he purged AETHERPHAGE from his skin.

But Diaman was done healing too. He bent over, panting. He staggered before straightening. He pushed away his pain.

As he saw Tratex draw closer, Diaman smirked. The fight was far from over. 'We're just getting started.'
