More than two hundred years ago, Tohsaka, Makiri, and Einzbern came to this land called Fuyuki. They joined forces to hollow out the mountain behind Ryūdō Temple and developed the so-called Holy Grail War within the Great Cavern. Meanwhile, Zolgen Makiri, unable to resist the passage of time, turned to transforming himself into worms; at the same time, Zolgen Makiri also developed the command spells system.
However, for many reasons, the lesser grail was destroyed again, and the ritual failed once more.
The location of the Holy Grail's descent was at the Tohsaka residence.
The Third Holy Grail War took place on the eve of World War II. The scale of this Holy Grail War was very large, with domestic and foreign military forces also getting involved, and the battle unfolded with Tokyo as the stage.
