Shall I Show You the So-Called Enemy?
When Ethan received that sinister call and stormed out, Anna panicked.
She immediately contacted Victor Stone.
By the time Victor rushed home, both of them had already reached the same conclusion—
An enemy must have made a move.
After all, Ethan had:
Defeated numerous Western academy elitesOffended factions tied to the Divine Eagle AllianceRecently dealt with multiple Divine-tier Pokémon
If someone wanted revenge—
Now would be the time.
Meanwhile — The "Showdown"
In the suburbs, Ethan stood calmly in an open clearing.
Metagross hovered beside him.
He had deliberately chosen an unpopulated area.
If a fight broke out—
Collateral damage would be minimized.
Suddenly—
A presence approached at incredible speed.
Before he could react—
A figure lunged at him.
"Ethan!"
He was tackled to the ground.
Pinned.
And then—
Kissed.
Repeatedly.
Ethan: "Mmm— wait—"
Several long seconds later, she finally pulled back.
"How do you like the gift?" she grinned.
Ethan stared at her.
Avrora Donovanovskaya.
The supposed "enemy."
He had already prepared to storm someone's headquarters with a squad of Divine Pokémon.
And instead—
It was her.
"I love the gift," he sighed.
"But next time, maybe don't jump me like that. Metagross almost attacked."
Avrora froze.
Right.
Divine-tier bodyguards.
Surprise assault might equal instant obliteration.
"Noted," she said sheepishly.
The Truth
She had finished her term early.
Remember?
She said she'd visit in a month.
Ethan had been so busy with reconstruction and Divine affairs—
He completely forgot.
"Perfect timing," Ethan said.
"My mom made pig's trotter stew. Let's go home."
Avrora short-circuited.
Meet the parents?!
Without preparation?!
No gifts?!
This was too fast.
"I—I'm not ready!"
"My family doesn't care about formalities."
He dragged her along anyway.
Back at the Stone Estate
Victor and Anna stood ready.
Tense.
Prepared for confrontation.
The moment Ethan returned—
Relief flooded their faces.
Then Victor scolded him.
"You think you're invincible now? Not telling us about threats?"
Anna joined in.
"You're strong, but you still have a family."
Ethan blinked.
"…Can I at least know what I did wrong?"
"You got a threatening call!"
Victor glared.
Ethan tried not to laugh.
"Oh. That."
"You want to see the enemy?"
He turned toward the gate.
"Come in before I get double-teamed by my parents!"
A red-faced Avrora stepped inside.
"Uncle… Auntie… Hello… I'm Avrora."
Silence.
Victor: "…"
Anna: "…"
They had prepared to face assassins.
Instead—
Their son brought home a stunning foreign girlfriend.
Victor's brain processed several things at once:
She's pretty.Good posture.Healthy build.Definitely strong genes.
Anna processed something else:
My son grew up too fast.
Ethan crossed his arms smugly.
"So."
"Still want to fight my 'enemy'?"
