Yanhuang: Since When Did Insects Dare Run Their Mouths?!**
Zacian.
The legendary hero of the Johann Alliance.
Not only does Johann folklore revere Zacian—
Across the entire European continent, traces of its legend exist.
It was said to possess the power to sever all evil in the world.
A true Legendary Pokémon.
And yet—
That existence was now sealed inside a Pokémon Egg.
Even Ethan found that hard to believe.
But disbelief aside, one thing was certain:
He wanted Zacian.
Very badly.
So as he glanced around the conference room at the other Heavenly Kings, Ethan silently apologized.
Sorry, everyone.
For this Zacian Egg… I'm intercepting all your fortunes.
With the meeting concluded, the Heavenly King Tournament officially began.
At first, Li Yao planned to move together with Ethan.
But after a moment's thought, he chose otherwise.
Treasure-hunting wasn't like battling.
If the two of them found something valuable together, how were they supposed to split it?
He was the elder.
Ethan was Donghuang's brightest future.
If he yielded everything, it hurt.
If he didn't, it felt wrong.
So in the end, Li Yao proposed they split up.
That suggestion suited Ethan perfectly.
With Li Yao around, he couldn't freely unleash Metagross.
But alone?
No need to hold back.
Less than two minutes after parting ways—
Ethan arrived at a vast, snow-covered glacier and released Metagross.
"Metagross, I'll give you the coordinates," Ethan said calmly.
"Bring everything back."
Metagross, already experienced in this sort of work, immediately signaled agreement.
On the way here, it had already scanned most of Antarctica.
Normally, even at god-tier, scanning a continent would be difficult.
But Antarctica was different.
The colder the region, the stronger the magnetic fields.
To Metagross, this place felt like home turf.
Its magnetic perception expanded dramatically.
Even its psychic power felt enhanced.
Covering Antarctica became easy.
As Ethan transmitted coordinates one after another, Metagross let out a low roar.
"Boss, relax."
"Give me half a day. I'll be back."
With that, Metagross shot into the sky like a silver cannonball, beginning its grand mission of fortune interception.
Watching Metagross disappear, Ethan felt the temperature plunge even further.
He rubbed his hands and laughed dryly.
"Antarctica really lives up to its reputation… this cold is brutal."
As he spoke, Ethan tossed another Poké Ball.
A familiar, majestic figure appeared beside him—
Entei.
Now firmly at Heavenly King–level, Entei had grown far more mature.
In the past, it would've immediately demanded playtime.
Now, after glancing at Ethan and sensing the chill, Entei quietly released its fire energy, raising the surrounding temperature.
Ethan chuckled and patted its jaw.
"Thanks, Entei."
"That feels way better."
"En~tei," the legendary beast rumbled softly.
"Alright," Ethan said, climbing onto Entei's back.
"We're heading deeper."
"Southwest direction."
Entei burst forward at once, its figure rapidly vanishing into the blizzard.
Moments after they left—
Two figures appeared where Ethan had just stood.
They were none other than Sirius Morgan and his father, Augustine Morgan.
"Father," Sirius frowned,
"Why did his Metagross suddenly leave?"
"That thing should be his biggest reliance."
Augustine, however, smiled faintly.
"Don't overthink it."
"A Totem-level Pokémon leaving so decisively only means one thing."
"It doesn't truly belong to him."
"Most likely, they're bound by a temporary agreement."
Augustine had encountered multiple Totem-level beings before.
Unlike Sirius, he understood them well.
These creatures were ancient, intelligent, and pragmatic.
They valued benefit, not bonds.
Metagross leaving so readily meant Antarctica held something irresistible.
And once Metagross was gone—
That left Ethan exposed.
"Let's follow him," Augustine said calmly.
"This may be our best chance to kill Ethan."
He summoned a Rapidash and mounted it.
Sirius hesitated instinctively—something felt off.
But years of strict upbringing silenced his doubts.
He released a Wyrdeer, and the two chased after Entei.
An hour later—
Despite Entei running on four legs, it had already covered over a hundred kilometers.
The Morgans cursed nonstop.
Neither of their Pokémon was weak—one Heavenly King–level, one Overlord-level.
Yet they still couldn't catch up.
Forced to escalate, Augustine released his ace—
Charizard.
Only then did they finally close the distance.
Ethan arrived at a frozen canyon.
This place was called Extreme Ice Valley—a name given by the system.
Hidden within was a Red Opportunity: Extreme Ice Ore.
A holy land for Ice-type Pokémon.
Though Ethan didn't raise Ice-types, this wasn't wasted.
His father's bodyguard—
Ice Lord Mamoswine—
was an Ice-type Totem and also a Golden Opportunity.
Building goodwill mattered.
As Ethan searched for the entrance, a flash of light appeared in his arms.
Meloetta emerged, whispering anxiously,
"Ethan… two people are following us."
"They're hostile."
Ethan's gaze sharpened.
With psychic vision, he looked skyward.
Sure enough—
A Charizard carrying Augustine and Sirius descended.
"So they really came…" Ethan muttered.
"Dad was right."
The Charizard landed inside the valley.
Sirius sneered the moment he saw Ethan.
"Ethan. We meet again."
Ethan remained calm.
"You've chased me this far."
"Let's skip the pleasantries."
"What do you want?"
Augustine stepped forward, smiling.
"Meeting you is better than hearing rumors."
"Donghuang's teenage Heavenly King truly lives up to his name."
Then he sighed theatrically.
"I cherish talent."
"So today, I'm here to recruit you."
"Join the Sky Eagle Alliance."
"Whatever you want—we'll give it to you."
Sirius froze.
Recruit him?
Weren't we here to kill him?!
Ethan laughed softly.
"Recruitment?"
"Sorry. What I want—"
"Sky Eagle can't give."
"Since that's all, you can leave."
Raised under the red flag, Ethan had zero interest in Sky Eagle's ideology.
Joining now would be like switching sides in '49.
Augustine nodded, unfazed.
"Pity."
"Then I'll send you to hell."
A Poké Ball burst open.
A massive metallic Pokémon appeared—
Duraludon,
Totem mid-stage.
A Steel–Dragon hybrid, rare and terrifying.
"Impressive knowledge," Augustine mocked.
"Let him end you."
Flash Cannon fired.
At that instant—
A blazing bird shot out, colliding head-on with the beam.
The explosion shook the glacier.
As the firebird retreated, a colossal crimson figure emerged beside Ethan—
Skeledirge.
Totem-level.
Augustine's pupils shrank.
"A Totem Skeledirge?!"
Sirius was stunned.
That thing used to be Elite-level…
How the hell did it become Totem-level?!
Ethan's voice turned cold.
"I gave you a chance."
"You refused."
"Now—die."
Skeledirge roared.
Torch Song activated.
Flames transformed into a blazing phoenix and slammed forward.
Duraludon raised a barrier—
But it was forced back step by step.
Augustine grit his teeth and threw two more Poké Balls.
"Gentlemen—our agreement stands!"
Two figures appeared.
Kommo-o — Totem late-stageDragapult — Totem late-stage
Kommo-o shattered the fire phoenix with a single punch.
Dragapult sneered.
"Human."
"Stop resisting."
"Die painlessly."
Then—
BOOM.
The frozen valley cracked.
Molten lava erupted.
From the magma, a blazing lion-like deity stepped forward—
Yanhuang.
He looked down at the three Totem Pokémon with utter contempt.
Especially Dragapult.
His voice was cold, dripping with disdain.
"Since when…"
"Did insects dare come out and spout nonsense?"
