Chapter 20. Second husband arrival (2)
"Are these low life beasts bothering you?"
The black haired beast steps out from right behind the three leopard siblings. Every leopard's face twists into pure terror instantly.
The whole scene feels like a casual small chat from my end but these poor cats must feel thousands of deadly wasps hovering all around ready to strike.
Without a word all three drop onto all fours and press their forehead flat against the dirt ground in deep submission.
"Well you finally showed up everything's fine now. What's that bundle you're hauling?" I completely ignore the cowering leopards and walk straight over to Jor.
A thick pile of animal hides sits bundled tight in his arms.
"I left these behind yesterday. You're my wife so all of this belongs to you now." He holds the parcel out toward me.
I peel open a small slit on the wrap and bright sparkling light glints straight into my eyes, totally blowing my mind.
