"That's... the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki!" Naruto yelled, pointing at Obito.
"The Ten-Tails has vanished..." Sai said, his voice laced with shock.
"Hinata, can you see everything?" Sakura turned to ask Hinata.
"Yes!"
"What happened? Can you explain?"
Her voice trembling slightly, Hinata replied, "The Ten-Tails was entirely absorbed by that man. Looking at his chakra, it's also..."
Sure enough, amid a shower of shattering light, Obito emerged in his Six Paths Sage Mode.
He wore the flowing white robes of the Sage of the Six Paths, adorned with six magatama patterns across his chest. His left eye held the Rinnegan, while his right retained the Sharingan. Yet, his demeanor was chillingly calm. Seeing this transformation, Nagato and the rest of the Akatsuki felt a wave of dread wash over them.
Hidan gasped in disbelief. "No way... Did Lord Jashin just borrow Tobi's body?!"
"Oh! My Lord Jashin, you really are too powerful."
Deidara shook his head, a look of sudden awe and delight breaking across his face. To him, the Obito standing before them now was a true masterpiece of art.
Nagato, however, knit his brows in deep concern. Turning to Kanon beside him, he murmured doubtfully, "This form is immensely powerful. If he turns his blade on us, we will be in extreme danger."
They were standing far too close, practically right next to Obito. If he chose to strike now, the Akatsuki would suffer severe casualties.
"Should we back away from him?" Kisame asked, looking at Kanon.
"From the looks of his current state, he hasn't fully suppressed the Ten-Tails yet. There's a strong chance the beast's consciousness might consume his mind."
"If that happens, the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki will go berserk. Nagato-senpai, all of you step back first. Don't worry about me," Kanon instructed, gesturing for the Akatsuki members to link hands.
"Be careful," Nagato said, giving Kanon's shoulder a reassuring pat.
"Trust me," Kanon replied. With a flash of her Flying Raijin Technique, she teleported the entire Akatsuki cohort to a safe distance far beyond the epicenter of the battlefield.
In the center of the crater, Tobirama stared at Obito's altered state, deeply perplexed. "What... What is the meaning of this?"
This is bad. He actually became the Jinchuriki, Hashirama thought grimly, keeping a sharp eye on Obito's movements.
"He's become even more sickening," Naruto said, his expression hardening.
"Obito..." Minato muttered, his brow furrowing with grief.
Naruto quickly explained to Sasuke how he knew that Obito had become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. While the rest of the shinobi hesitated to make a move, the first strike was suddenly delivered.
From high above, the massive crimson gates of the Deity Gates slammed down, pinning Obito heavily into the earth. Multiple gates crashed down in rapid succession. Hashirama's expression remained stoic; he believed that even if Obito had become the Jinchuriki, the Sage Art: Gracious Deity Gates would hold him.
But to his dismay, the wooden structures instantly began to fracture. This was the power of the Six Paths; the Deity Gates stood no chance of suppressing it.
Not far from Kanon, Obito stood up effortlessly, enveloped in flickering crimson flames. He cast a look of mild irritation toward Hashirama as the gates pinning him shattered into splinters.
The entire battlefield gasped. The fact that Obito could effortlessly break free from a Sage Art sealing jutsu designed to suppress the Ten-Tails placed immense pressure on the four reanimated Hokage.
"You still remember what you are supposed to do, right?" Kanon asked in a flat tone.
Obito did not offer a reply. Instead, five massive chakra hands erupted from the flames blazing on his back, violently seizing the Four Crimson Ray Formation. With a brutal tug, the barrier erected by the four Hokage was torn to shreds by Obito's bare hands.
The current Obito was far more formidable than the Ten-Tails in its raw form. Having become its Jinchuriki, he was essentially the second Sage of the Six Paths, the undisputed apex predator of this era.
Seeing the allied forces frozen in fear, Hashirama bellowed across the battlefield, "Everyone, stay on your guard! An enemy who intends to claim the power of the Ten-Tails all for himself has appeared!"
"We don't know what he plans to do, but he has already broken our barrier!"
The moment Hashirama's voice fell, a silhouette tore through the smoke, closing the distance to Naruto and Sasuke in a single bound.
"Stop it, Obito! Stop this at once!" Minato roared.
Obito fell silent. His consciousness was clearly being violently pulled and torn apart by the raging beast within, rendering his movements unstable. Taking advantage of this exact opening, the First Hokage Hashirama Senju, the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju, and the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi leaped simultaneously into the center of the fray.
"I'll be blunt, that guy is stronger than me right now," Hashirama admitted with a grim sigh.
"Regrettably, it seems so," Hiruzen nodded in agreement.
"Even your shadow clone, which nearly vanished, was no match for him, Anija," Tobirama added.
"I know, but..."
While the Hokage were busy exchanging tactical intelligence, a swirling vortex of roses manifested right beside Obito. Kanon stepped out of the petals. Standing at 165 centimeters, she looked somewhat petite next to Obito's towering figure.
Yet, the moment she stood there, no one dared to take their eyes off her. She was Kanon Uchiha, one of the masterminds who had ignited this entire war.
Clad in a crimson trench coat that billowed in the wind, Kanon stood by Obito's side, staring impassively at the three Hokage.
"Go ahead. I'll handle these three Hokage for you."
Hashirama, Tobirama, and Hiruzen locked their eyes onto Kanon, their expressions growing increasingly grave. Hashirama was fully aware of Kanon's intangibility; while she might lack his raw physical strength and boundless cellular regeneration, her specific mechanics and absolute speed far outclassed his.
The Ten-Tails inherently harbored a lingering dread toward Kanon. With her standing right beside him, Obito's fractured consciousness regained a semblance of clarity. He gave a firm nod and charged directly toward the shinobi forces.
In the distance, Madara finally stood up. Watching Kanon confront the three Hokage on her own, he murmured smoothly:
"While I quite enjoy watching the Hokage squirm, Kanon, I am growing a bit impatient."
Staring at Obito's ascent into the likeness of the Sage of the Six Paths, Madara knew that before he could deploy his own trump card, Obito might beat him to the punch. Even with Kanon assisting, he felt a twinge of unease. Kanon was still young, after all; had she been raised directly under his personal tutelage, he might have waited complacently. But she was only fifteen years old.
Yet, as those words left Madara's lips, his pupils suddenly dilated.
In a fraction of a second, Hashirama's neck had been cleanly snapped by Kanon. Tobirama and Hiruzen fared even worse, their bodies were instantly encased in a massive, transparent cube of Dust Release. The structure flashed, disintegrating both of them into atomic dust.
Had these three been alive, Kanon would have effectively achieved an instantaneous triple-kill against the greatest Hokage in history. Unfortunately, these were Reanimation bodies.
"Impassive as always, truly magnificent, Kanon," Madara laughed heartily, a gesture of pure validation for his successor. "But did you notice that guy's paper bombs?"
Simultaneously, three paper bombs materialized out of nowhere right against Kanon's flank.
BOOM!
A chain reaction of violent explosions ripped through the air, kicking up an endless screen of dust. Slowly, the bodies of Tobirama, Hashirama, and Hiruzen began to reconstruct themselves from the floating debris.
Naruto and the others stared at Kanon in sheer astonishment. Sasuke, in particular, having experienced the battle in Ryuchi Cave, was now absolutely certain that Kanon had been holding back this entire time. Unleashing her full capabilities allowed her to dismantle three Hokage in the blink of an eye, a level of strength that made him, her older brother, feel a twinge of inadequacy.
Amidst the rolling explosions, Kanon's form phased into tangibility as she walked calmly out of the smoke.
Predictably, Hashirama's reconstructed form sprouted thick wooden tendrils, surging forward to bind her. Seeing her momentarily restrained, Hiruzen shouted toward Minato, "Minato, move now!"
"Lord Second's reactions are as swift as ever. Flying Raijin Technique!" Minato instantly grabbed Naruto and the others, flashing away to safety.
Tobirama stepped directly in front of Kanon. "Uchiha brat, I have arrived on the battlefield exactly as you wished."
"The Reanimation Jutsu is my creation, and so are the tactics designed to complement it. Though, this is the first time I am testing it personally on my own body."
He stared at Kanon, who remained tightly bound by Hashirama's Wood Release. Deep down, Tobirama felt a pang of surprise—why did she still look at him with such utter indifference even in a predicament like this?
"Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags! Taste this!" The Second Hokage hurled a volley of paper bombs toward Kanon.
Yet in the very next instant, a Kusanagi Sword pierced cleanly through the binding wood, bisecting Tobirama straight through the waist.
"What?!" The remaining Hokage, Naruto, Sasuke, and even Madara widened their eyes in surprise.
Kanon stepped gracefully out of Hashirama's Wood Release, utilizing her Flower Realm ability to phase through the restriction. She casually spun the blade in her hand before snapping the Kusanagi Sword firmly back into its sheath.
"You've been acting arrogant for so long, and yet your grand strategy is just throwing paper bombs?"
"And here I thought you were molding chakra for some legendary ultimate jutsu, you Senju fossil," Kanon said smoothly, planting the heel of her shinobi boot firmly onto the head of Tobirama's severed upper half.
"Do not underestimate me, Uchiha brat," Tobirama hissed. Despite being pinned beneath her boot, a grim smirk crept onto his face.
Behind her, the Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags were proliferating exponentially. The tags continuously summoned more tags, triggering a relentless, localized chain of apocalyptic detonations. This was an infinite, pinpoint-concentrated bombing run!
Kanon glanced back at the cascading tags, her lips curling into a faint smile. "You've actually given me a rather brilliant idea. Intentionally summoning paper bombs with summoning tags... using trillions to define the sheer scale of it."
The entire sector of space was consumed by blinding white light and fire. Tobirama possessed an immortal Reanimation body, but Kanon did not. The chain-reaction explosions tore through the battlefield like a continuous carpet bomb, casting a violent shockwave that buffeted even Obito.
Watching the carnage unfold, neither Naruto nor Sasuke could bring themselves to celebrate. One was Sasuke's biological younger sister, and both considered her family; seeing Kanon caught in such a lethal trap was not something they would ever cheer for.
The thunderous roars echoed continuously as waves of blinding white light fractured the dark sky, casting an absolute shroud of black smoke over the battlefield that rumbled on for several long minutes before finally grinding to a halt.
