And there we go. Getting close to Juni getting his hands on, what I feel, is one of the most underrated Sacred Gears in DxD. Seriously, in season 1 Kiba was making swords that could emit and cancel elemental magic. At best, he was a mid-class devil at the time and has only gotten stronger since. So, I want to take a simple seeming Sacred Gear and elevate it to something that terrifies even Longinus owners.
'Course, Juni is still going to steal Boosted Gear from Issei. Adding pure power to what he can already do is just a delicious icing on a wonderful cake.
I meant to address this next bit last chapter but was distracted. I've seen a few comments about how Junichiro joining Rias was him willingly becoming a slave and so on and so forth. I would just like anyone who feels like that to give me a good solid example of Rias abusing her authority over her peerage and forcing them to do something against their will with her full authority. Now, I can think of a few times when there were disagreements, such as Issei wanting to save Asia. Even when Issei went directly against what Rias told him to do, she didn't exert her full authority over him.
I mean, fuck, she's so hands off with her people that she didn't even ask, let alone force, Akeno to use her Holy Lightning against Riser. You think that burnt chicken would have won the rating game if Akeno just used her Holy Lightning from the beginning? Unlikely. His Queen would have been easily roasted, even with her Phenex Tear. So, Rias let Akeno hold back that much on something that would directly effect her entire life! We all know how much she loathed being forced to marry Riser and she still let Akeno hold back.
So, if you're someone who believes Rias will treat Junichiro as a slave, provide canon examples of Rias abusing her authority please. Disciplining people for doing stupid shit doesn't count as abuse. Even employee's get disciplined by their bosses.
Chapters still might be a bit slow though my mother is recovering. Her next appointment is on the 14th so we'll see how things are looking then.
