The blade was about to touch her cheek when suddenly, with the speed of lightening a huge hand grabbed Lauren's hand and there was a sound of bone breaking as the fruit knife fell to the ground.
"CLANK!!"
Followed by Lauren's piercing screams.
"Ah My hand"she yelled.
Right in front of them was Louis with a cloudy face, his eyes red.
You could feel his anger.
She had really gone too far.
Lauren took two steps back, her pupils shrank.
"How many times have I told you to stay away from Rosaline" his deep voice rang through her ears.
Lauren tries to speak but the words won't come out.
"You've crossed the line, and I told you if you harm her there will be consequences"he growled.
He still held her bony hand adding a bit of pressure causing her to yelp in pain.
He finally let's go and pushes her away and her friends let go of Rosaline, trembling.
"Brother, what are you doing here"Lauren stuttered.
She had to bail herself out.
"Shh...she started it"said Lauren trembling with fear.
"Do you think I'm stupid, there will be a price to pay for what you've done" he said.
His voice was like cold ice being poured on you.
His aura was intimidating.
He holds the trembling Rosaline in his arms stroking her hair.
"L..Louis you can't have a child with her can you, you can't love her" Lauren fidgeted.
"Rosaline's my other half, if you touch her then you touch me, I'll show you what it means to mess with my wife"said Louis with an icy look.
"You married her!!" Lauren trembled.
"That's none of your business"he replies cooly.
"Lauren's brother we were impulsive please let us go"cried the other girls, on their knees.
Louis ignores their pitiful cry.
He turns towards the men who were holding the shopkeeper.
They immediately let her go.
"Lock her up in a mental hospital"said Louis.
Lauren's eyes widened.
"What!! No...no....no...no, I'm your sister you wouldn't do that to me would you?" Said Lauren freaking out.
"Of course I would, you didn't think about the bloodtie before acting impulsively.
Well every mistake comes with a price, Rosaline's my wife after all" he said looking at Rosaline who had not said anything.
"And as for her little friends, give them a scar on their cheap skin and escort them to the police station" he said.
"Lauren manipulated us, Mr Grey please don't do this"begged one of the girls.
"I don't care about that"he said.
Some men arrive and take them away, their screams faded away and the stall was filled with deadly silence.
They had evacuated everyone from the shop and now only Rosaline, Louis and the shopkeeper were left.
The shopkeeper stood there trembling.
Louis carries Rosaline to sit down his anger has faded away replaced by tenderness.
Then he turns towards the shopkeeper coldy.
"Get a glass of water for her"he ordered.
The shopkeeper immediately scurries away and after a while returns with a glass of warm water.
"Here you go sir"she said giving him the glass with shaking hands.
Rosaline was still shaking and Louis raises the glass cup to her lips and ribs her shoulders.
The shopkeeper kept standing behind them, wondering if she was in a movie.
Louis stands up and picks a few things, adding them to what she had bought and gave them to the shopkeeper.
"Wrap it up and give them to me" he said.
"Y..yes sir"I stuttered clumsily wrapping the things and giving them back to him.
Louis swipes his card and pays for the things he bought then he writes a check and places it on the desk.
"Here is your compensation, for your mental stress"he said.
She nods mad then pushes the cheque back to him.
"No thanks , sir I'm okay"she said.
Louis frowns.
"Take it"he said.
"No I don't need it"she said.
"Just throw it away or give it to someone in need" he said to her.
"She's very sweet, you should cherish her well"said the lady.
Louis nods and then he takes the things into the car and carries Rosaline gently to the car.
