Odian carried all the children into his room. They sat clustered on his bed, their bright eyes wandering curiously around the unfamiliar space.
Yinny tugged at his sleeve. Father Odian, why did you bring us here?
"You'll be sleeping in my room tonight," Odian said gently.
Didi tilted their head, puzzled. Why? Where's Mother?
"She…"
Before he could answer, Nina stepped in.
"Alright, little ones, time for bed. Lie down nicely."
The moment they saw her, the children obediently settled under the covers.
As long as their mother was there, it didn't matter where they slept.
Odian smiled faintly, and together, he and Nina soothed them to sleep.
Meanwhile, in Nina's room, Mino waited, both nervous and full of anticipation.
He kept replaying everything Ming had taught him, afraid he might mess up.
Once the children were asleep, Nina returned.
Mino stood up immediately, hands clenched slightly.
"Nina… are the children asleep?"
"Mm." She walked over and sat on the bed.
