"Nice to meet you all. My name's Amakawa Haruto. I'm from Sendai."
Standing in front of the now-relaxed trio of the main cast, Haruto bowed as he introduced himself.
"Fushiguro Megumi."
With a small bump still visible on his head, Megumi returned the bow, keeping his introduction simple.
"Name's Nobara Kugisaki. Consider yourself blessed meeting me."
Nobara went next, sporting a similar bump on her head and speaking in a haughty tone.
"Itadori Yuji! I like women like Jennifer Lawrence! Also from Sendai!"
The last student—the pink-haired protagonist of this world, the vessel of Sukuna, and the son of Kenjaku—introduced himself energetically.
"And I am Gojo Satoru, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!"
Appearing beside Haruto out of nowhere, Gojo placed his hands on Haruto's shoulders as he introduced himself. Haruto immediately twisted his face in discomfort.
'They all look the same…'
Looking at the real-life faces of his once-favourite characters, Haruto inwardly muttered as he followed Gojo forward.
"Everyone, take your seats," Sensei said, pushing Haruto lightly from behind and placing him in the front seat of the empty row.
"Hoish… now that everyone has introduced themselves, let's settle down!" Gojo said, clapping his hands together.
Megumi, Nobara, and Itadori returned to their seats as Gojo took over the class.
"With everyone settled, let's recall what has happened so far!"
In a speed unseen by normal eyes, Gojo disappeared and reappeared sitting casually on the desk at the front.
Clap!
"Once upon a time, there was this edgy teenager with a bland face who went out to look for a special-grade cursed object placed near a school."
"Hey, who are you calling bland face?" Fushiguro snapped.
"Reaching the school, the cursed object—whose seal had weakened—was missing," Gojo continued, ignoring Megumi. "It seemed like a group of teenagers took it for occult research or something, inviting a group of curses along with it."
"When the curses appeared and Megumi was put in a tight spot, breaking in through the window like a Hollywood hero, the protagonist Itadori Yuji appeared!"
"Yo!"
"With the power of friendship and devouring a thousand-year-old rotten finger, Yuji Itadori gained cursed energy and destroyed the curses, saving everyone."
"That's not exactly what happened," Megumi tried to interject.
"That's exactly what happened," Gojo and Itadori said in unison.
"A thousand-year-old rotten finger… yuck! That's so unsanitary!" Nobara said, nearly gagging as Yuji raised his voice in protest.
"So anyways," Gojo continued, "after the curses were destroyed, we found someone lying under the debris of the building, affected by the aftereffects of the fight."
Gojo looked toward Haruto, who immediately became the focus of the classroom as he weakly raised his hand.
"Amakawa Haruto—the victim of the fight—hit his head and lost all memories of his previous life."
"Aw… that's bad," Nobara said with genuine pity.
Gojo ruffled Haruto's hair.
"Don't do that!" Haruto growled in irritation.
"Haruto now has no memories whatsoever prior to this week," Gojo concluded as everyone looked at him with sympathy.
Gone was the terror they had felt when he first appeared. Now, they looked at Haruto like the tragic character of a novel.
"I'm sorry, Amakawa-san."
Yuji was the first to break the silence, standing up and bowing deeply.
"Huh?" Haruto was caught off guard by the sudden apology.
"You were caught in our fight. Even if not directly, I was still one of the reasons you got hurt and lost your memories. I'm sorry," Yuji said earnestly.
"…No, there's no need to apologize," Haruto replied immediately, shaking his head with a wry smile. "My memory loss had nothing to do with you. You didn't do it knowingly. This isn't your fault."
"…What a kind man you are, Haruto," Gojo wiped away an imaginary tear before clapping his hands. "Alright everyone, take your seats. Class is starting."
"So anyways, since today we have complete attendance, let's start with our first official jujutsu theory class!"
"Ugh…" Nobara groaned.
"Today, we'll be learning the basics of cursed energy and cursed spirits—everything from scratch. Everyone, are you ready?"
"Yeah!" Yuji was the only one who raised his fist enthusiastically.
"Hahaha, I like your enthusiasm. Now get ready to learn about curses from the strongest himself."
"Before we begin, does anyone have any special questions?"
Among the four, Haruto raised his hand silently, earning Gojo's attention.
"Yes, Haruto?"
"Is there a shortage of cursed objects in our school? Or in Japan?"
"Huh? Where did that come from?" Gojo tilted his head comically. "Anyways, to answer your question—no."
"We have thousands of cursed objects collected and created over centuries, stored securely under various seals. So no, there's no shortage."
"Then what the hell was a special-grade object like Sukuna's finger doing out in the open—inside a school—in a city like Sendai?"
"…Ah."
Gojo froze.
The gears in his brain turned as the question sank in.
'What the hell was Sukuna's finger even doing there?'
A school in a city like Sendai, where there wasn't much cursed activity recorded.
The same place where a potential vessel like Itadori Yuji appeared.
"…Well, I didn't think about that," Gojo laughed it off awkwardly, returning to his goofy self. "Haha! Anyways, let's start the class for real."
Haruto paid close attention as the lecture continued, while Great Sage silently processed everything, expanding its database.
'Hah… I always wondered that,' Haruto thought. 'How the hell did nobody question a potential Sukuna vessel and Sukuna's finger appearing in the same place?'
How convenient for the plot—yet no one questioned why such a dangerous object was placed there in the first place.
The lecture eventually ended, and the discounted Team 7 escorted Haruto to the dorms. He was assigned his own room, adjacent to Megumi's and Yuji's.
"By the way, Haruto…" Yuji whispered suddenly.
"Did you really forget everything?"
"Yeah."
"I see." Yuji stared at him seriously for a moment. "Did you forget about Jennifer Lawrence too?"
"…"
