To avoid being third wheels, Vic took Wednesday and Enid back to their room to change first.
On the way, he was still chattering non-stop, analyzing Dracula and Captain Ericka.
"Leaving aside Uncle Dracula's lovestruck look, did you notice Captain Ericka's gaze? She's definitely interested in him! That smile, that aura..."
"Alright, Mr. Romance Expert, your analysis is so logical, but now it's your turn and you're dawdling. Go change!"
Enid laughed and interrupted him, pushing him into a small cubicle in the men's changing room.
Vic clung to the doorframe, poking his head out, eyes sparkling as he suggested:
"Actually... we could change together, save time..."
"No!"
Enid's face exploded red instantly. She glared at him with shy anger, using force to push his head back in.
With a clunk, Wednesday had somehow procured an old-fashioned padlock, nimbly threading it through the latch and snapping it shut with a click.
She dusted off her hands, looking expressionlessly at the cubicle door, adding a threat in a cool voice:
"If you dare to peek, I will gouge out your eyes."
From inside came Vic's aggrieved protest: "Hey! Is there no basic trust between people?"
"It is precisely because I 'trust' you too much," Wednesday's sharp tongue fired fully, "that physical isolation measures must be taken."
An exaggerated sigh came from Vic inside.
About ten minutes later, Wednesday used a key from who-knows-where to open the padlock.
The door had barely cracked open when Vic's head eagerly poked out.
He originally wanted to complain, but when his gaze landed on the two girls who had already changed into their swimwear, all words got stuck in his throat. His eyes widened instantly, leaving only pure awe.
"Whoa..."
Enid chose a set of goose-yellow two-piece swimwear. The top was a slightly playful style with a bow tie, and the bottom was a lively skirted bottom, perfectly setting off her petite figure and sunny temperament.
Stared at so intently by Vic, a blush rose on her fair cheeks. Somewhat embarrassed, she partially shielded her chest with her hand.
Her azure eyes lowered shyly, long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings, but the corners of her mouth couldn't help curving into a sweet arc.
Wednesday wore a dark black halter-neck one-piece swimsuit. The design was simple yet extremely high-quality.
The high-cut sides perfectly showcased her long, straight legs, and the elegant open-back design highlighted her smooth shoulder and neck lines and her cool temperament.
Facing Vic's burning gaze, she merely raised an eyebrow slightly, her expression remaining indifferent.
But in those deep, pool-like eyes, a trace of very faint, almost satisfied glimmer seemed to pass.
She even deliberately turned slightly sideways, allowing the back design to be displayed more clearly before Vic's eyes, as if silently provoking: "Seen enough?"
"You're truly beautiful..."
Vic's voice was a bit floaty.
He covered his chest with one hand, making a motion of his heart taking a critical hit.
"My heart is beating so fast right now... feels like it's going to explode! This is definitely a magic attack!"
Enid chuckled at his exaggerated manner, scolding playfully:
"Oh stop it, smooth talker!"
Wednesday calmly pierced his performance.
"Do you require me to help 'soothe' your excessive heart rate? I happen to know a few acupoints."
Unnoticed, a slender silver needle glinted coldly between her fingertips.
Vic immediately raised his hands in surrender, but the smile on his face was incredibly brilliant.
"No no no! This is the most sincere praise! From the bottom of my heart!"
His gaze flowed between his two girlfriends as he said heartfeltly, "Really, you two are so beautiful I can't look away."
"At least you know what's good for you." Wednesday huffed lightly, putting away the silver needle.
Enid smiled and stepped forward, linking her arm with Vic's: "Then let's hurry to the pool, don't keep everyone waiting."
Enid tugged gently on Vic's arm, only to find him rooted to the spot, unmoving.
"Vic?"
Enid tilted her head, her azure eyes full of confusion.
Wednesday crossed her arms, expression calm, as if she had already seen through everything.
"It seems our Mr. Black has messed up in some aspect again."
"Vic, what happened?" Enid asked with concern.
"Well... this..."
Vic stammered, eyes darting around. A rare suspicious blush crept onto his cheeks.
"It's just... these swimming trunks, they're a bit... special, you know."
Wednesday raised an eyebrow, pointing out calmly: "Didn't you prepare a pair of Hawaiian beach shorts printed with giant flamingos and palm trees earlier? Although the aesthetic was worrying, it was at least normal."
"Y... yes."
Vic scratched his cheek awkwardly, the blush becoming more obvious.
"But later... I saw a very... special pair on another rack, and wanted to try a new style, and then... it turned out like this..."
Swimming trunks that could make the thick-skinned Vic shy?
Wednesday and Enid's curiosity was completely hooked.
Enid couldn't resist her curiosity, standing on tiptoe trying to peek into the cubicle.
Vic reacted extremely fast, immediately blocking the doorframe with his head, firmly obstructing her view.
"Wait! Enid! Give me some time to prepare mentally!"
At this moment, a bit of black substance poked out from Vic's shoulder. Venom's voice was raspy, low, and carried obvious disgust.
"Trust me, little wolf girl, that thing is absolutely shameful. I have decided to temporarily cease appearing in the same frame as him and am considering cutting off visual sharing to avoid psychological trauma."
"I'm a girl and I'm not scared, what are you, a big man, shy about?"
Enid's curiosity conquered all. Using her werewolf strength, she forcefully squeezed her small head through the gap under Vic's arm into the door crack.
In the next second, Enid froze in place as if hit by a petrification spell.
Her eyes went wide as saucers, pupils quaking, as if she had seen something world-view shattering.
For a full five seconds, she didn't move a muscle.
Then, like a wind-up robot, she stiffly retreated two steps, spun around violently, and threw herself onto the bed in the room.
Grabbing a pillow to firmly cover her thoroughly reddened face, she let out a muffled scream into the pillow that was both ashamed and breaking down: "AHHHH—!"
Wednesday's brow furrowed deeper.
"Enid? What exactly did you see?"
Enid didn't answer, just rolled around frantically on the bed, burying her burning cheeks into the quilt, her exposed ear tips red enough to drip blood.
Wednesday hesitated no longer. She stepped forward, forcefully pushing the still-blocking Vic inside, and then slammed the cubicle door wide open!
Three seconds.
Only three seconds later, with a loud SLAM!, Wednesday slammed the door back shut even faster than she opened it!
Back pressed against the cold door panel, her always pale and cool cheeks were now burning like sunset clouds. The pink quickly spread to her ears, and even her neck was dyed a layer of light red.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart, but it only turned into a low growl through gritted teeth with a tremor:
"Victor Black! You... idiot!"
