Once Caelan confirmed that the Spectral Steed had no escape route, he raised his hand and slashed out a brilliant sword arc.
Almost instantly, the Spectral Steed was effortlessly slain. Its ethereal body collapsed to the ground with a faint shimmering sound, the life extinguished in a blink.
The treasure chest strapped onto its back fell along with it, landing softly on the ground.
Audrey's eyes widened in shock and excitement. She pressed her hands to her rosy lips, barely able to contain her gasp.
"Oh my God! The Spectral Steed… it's really been killed!" she exclaimed, disbelief and exhilaration blending in her voice.
Audrey herself had been navigating the [Dark Maze] for several years. Over that time, she had encountered countless Spectral Steeds, but never had she witnessed one being killed.
