Frank's expression was tense, his eyes scanning the members of the Supreme Staff Legion in rapid succession.
"Someone tell me! Who just entered the ruins of the Mana Ore Mine Cave?" he demanded, his voice sharp with urgency.
The members exchanged glances with one another. Several times, mouths opened as if to speak, then closed again. Uncertainty, caution, and perhaps fear of repercussions seemed to hold them back.
At that precise moment, Evelyn stepped forward. Her demeanor was calm, yet carried authority.
"Vice Commander," she said, "please come with me. I have something to report to you."
Evelyn had chosen not to speak openly in front of the other members because the matter involved the Chosen One, and much of what she knew was classified. Ordinary legion members had no clearance to hear such sensitive information.
Frank, aware of Evelyn's unique position and trustworthiness, nodded and followed closely behind her.
