There was a silent pause.
Then there was a cool laugh coming from behind me.
As if there was nothing worse, that could have happened.
I walked past Alister before I sighed and turned around so I faced his back, as if he'd let me stay here without turning around and he whispers "if you aren't on your knee proposing properly since you fucked up so bad the first time, you won't see daylight again." I almost laugh but I know it's true since he got annoyed at me since I once ate his muffin since I hadn't eaten all day and he was so pissed. I still have nightmares.
Though I love him, sometimes. Only when he is being nice to me, so I take the ring box back out and open in, slowly getting onto one knee and I shout "I fell and can't get up" oh my goodness he never laughed so much not turning around before he does I grin before my eyes find his eyes when he turns around, those eyes haven't sparkled like that for years, since Jenna was in our lives. I have decided that there was one thing I could fight for and that is this guy, after Daniel or Niel, and everything this guy had stayed by my side for it all. There is nothing I love more than spoiling him rotten. Alister smiles and hugs me and I melt completely into a wanton puddle.
Tears form in my eyes as he says, "I have said yes years ago" and I laugh before kissing him, then of course my father had finished his fucking piss.
"What is going on?" he says as a stage whisper. "You both are weeping like bitches who didn't get the d-"
"NO" Alister says loudly "don't ruin this beautiful moment you cow"
"Nicely said" me and my father say in unition. We face each other and say "Fuck you" at the same time before I get held back by Alister.
The room temperature dropped by a lot and I turn to Alister, and he smiles helping me up, my bad leg acting up. It's been sore since I got shot back when Anton had helped me.
I have been used and broken though that doesn't matter to Alister, he likes me for me and that is what I had craved since I was turned-found out I was a demon, my tail shakes from the edge of my jeans before it flicks out like a cat's.
Alister grabs my tail and wraps it around his hand, making my tail slide through it, and I smile as it slithers away from his abuse. Making him frown and grab out again. My father watched this whole exchange and waits a beat before saying "I knew this way bad though never thought it would be this bad, hells 'n' spells mate, my son shouldn't be like this around some man!"
"Nice to know I'm the only one that can make him like this" Alister says with a laugh.
Normally there was one thing that could make me angry, and that was my father even now that never bothered me, and I was relaxed here even if I was on the damned floor. I lift Alister up and get up myself before planting him onto the ground and smiling, letting him go.
As if it was in front of me, I walked into nothing and fell. While my father and now engaged fiancé begin to laugh, I grumble standing up like the classy man I am before walking through the door back walking into the restaurant and saying "I fucking meant to do that"
