Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: The New Peak

Two hours later, the van pulled into the underground parking garage of a high-rise apartment complex in Seomyeon. It wasn't a luxury penthouse, but it was modern, anonymous, and equipped with a security system that required more than a digital bypass key to crack. Si-woo had secured the unit through a series of anonymous shell accounts during the "War Effort" arc, moving his in-game earnings through three different exchanges to ensure the trail went cold.

Sun-young and Mi-rae were silent as they carried the three bags into the elevator. They looked at the clean, white walls, the working LED lights, and the digital lock on the door. It felt like they had stepped onto another planet.

"Si-woo," Sun-young said, her hand resting on the sleek, granite kitchen counter. She looked at her son, who was standing by the window, his posture as straight and steady as a temple pillar. "What happens now? We can't stay hidden forever. They know who you are."

Si-woo looked out at the city lights of Busan. He could feel the strength in his legs—not just the physical ability to walk, but a deeper, structural stability that he had brought back from the Azure Province. The connection between the two worlds was no longer a secret; it was a bridge he intended to walk in both directions.

"We aren't hiding, Eomma," Si-woo said, his eyes reflecting the neon glow of the city. "We're establishing a perimeter. In the game, they think I'm a crafter who got lucky. Here, they think I'm a medical anomaly. They're both wrong."

He looked at the small, scorched processor in his hand. He could still feel the hum of the Temple of the Blue Moon vibrating in the silicon. The guilds and the corporations thought they had seen the end of a World Event. They had no idea that the real event—the one that would overturn the Dao of their entire economy—was just beginning.

"Hana and the others are waiting for me at the forge," Si-woo said, turning back to his family. "They need to know we're safe. And I need to show them how to forge a weapon that can't be tracked by a sedan."

He sat down at the small desk in the corner of the room, the only piece of furniture he'd requested to be there. He didn't need the heavy rig anymore. He had the marrow-salt pads and the core processor.

"Mi-rae," he said, looking at his sister. "Go to the market and buy the best ingredients you can find. We're having a real dinner tonight. No more instant noodles."

As Mi-rae left, a small smile on her face for the first time in years, Si-woo placed the neural pads against his temples. He wasn't just a Level 12 smith anymore. He was the Sovereign of the Hidden Flame, and he had a world to rebuild—starting with the one he was currently standing in.

"Initiate Sync," he whispered.
