"Damn, there really is SPA..."
Xia Chuan couldn't help but exclaim as he looked at the complete mechanical maintenance facilities inside the Dawn Organization factory.
When Lu Tianming had mentioned SPA earlier, he had been somewhat dismissive. But now... it seemed he had been shortsighted.
"Hah, did you think I was lying to you?"
Lu Tianming replied with a laugh. He had long understood that maintenance and part replacements were like massage therapy for Xia Chuan - something that could, to be precise, greatly please the Machine Spirit.
Previously, limited by the Archangel's equipment and technical capabilities, even when he wanted Xia Chuan to rest and enjoy himself properly, the conditions weren't available.
Now that they had arrived at ORB and had access to the Dawn Organization's vast technological resources, Xia Chuan was naturally his first thought.
In fact... requesting maintenance and supplies from the Dawn Organization had been specifically for Xia Chuan's sake.
They could perform maintenance and care while building Haros for him.
"Ah, I almost failed to appreciate my good son's filial devotion. This father apologizes to you!"
Deeply moved, Xia Chuan spoke with sincere emotion mixed with feigned sobs, acting like an old father who had misunderstood his son's intentions.
"Get lost. Keep talking nonsense and you'll have to build the Haros yourself."
"Hey hey hey, don't be like that - I admit I was wrong, okay—"
After their usual father-son banter, Lu Tianming parked the Strike Suit on the maintenance rack. After briefly explaining the key maintenance points to the responsible personnel, he instructed the Dawn Organization staff to begin maintenance on the Strike.
Lu Tianming then temporarily exited the cockpit... to avoid disturbing Xia Chuan's personal enjoyment. After all, Xia Chuan could contact him through the sunglasses communication system if anything important came up.
Since they were new here and unfamiliar with the place, he decided to first find Ro or Kira to get oriented.
Thinking this, Lu Tianming scanned the factory and soon spotted Ro and Kira discussing and researching the Natural-use OS near the Red Astray. He walked over while greeting them.
"Hi, how's the research going? Any results?"
Hearing Lu Tianming's voice, Kira and Ro immediately paused their research and waved to him:
"Mr. Lu, you're here—"
Kira spoke first. Although both had received the Dawn Organization's message at the same time, Lu Tianming's steady approach in the Strike Suit was slower than Kira's car transport.
This resulted in Kira and Ro having already started their research for some time by the time Lu Tianming arrived.
"How far have you gotten with your research? Do you need my help?"
"We're currently analyzing the version you use, which Kira copied over."
Ro moved aside to make space for Lu Tianming to come closer and look - Ro's OS system wasn't perfectly compatible when directly transferred to the M1 Astray, so they decided to use the version from Lu Tianming's Mobile Suit as reference for inspiration.
Coincidentally, Kira had arrived first with the OS data... so the two immediately found a reader and began their analysis.
"Still... this thing of yours is somewhat outrageous."
Ro gave a somewhat helpless bitter smile as he said this.
"What's wrong? Is there something unsuitable about it?"
Lu Tianming asked with some confusion... It would be normal if it were truly unsuitable. After all, his original version used an OS temporarily programmed by Kira, and although he had made adjustments later... it would be quite reasonable if it had become outdated.
But then he saw Ro shake his head and say with a smile:
"It's not unsuitable... To be precise, the completion level of this OS is a bit too high. To apply it to mass-produced units, we actually need to downgrade the OS."
According to Ro, the native G Series OS couldn't be used directly because its operational logic was too chaotic - moving required reaching left and right with operations taking half the day. The complicated operations ultimately only allowed the Mobile Suit to perform clumsy, rough movements.
As for Lu Tianming's OS, it was the opposite extreme - just a few simple operations could trigger precise movements in the Mobile Suit... Perhaps for someone with Lu Tianming's technical level, this precision was just right, but for novice pilots it was somewhat excessive.
Ro and Kira's goal was to find a balance between these two extremes, creating an intermediate version OS that could use relatively simple operations to quickly complete some basic combat maneuvers.
"But speaking of which... I didn't program Mr. Lu's OS to be this refined back then. Did Mr. Lu make adjustments himself?"
Kira looked at Lu Tianming with confusion. In his memory, he shouldn't have - and couldn't have - achieved such refined OS programming.
"Uh... yes?"
Lu Tianming was stunned for a moment, not expecting this outcome.
He had indeed made some adjustments to the OS before to better adapt to Xia Chuan's movements, but he hadn't expected to receive such evaluation from Ro.
Just as he was about to explain, suddenly a communication request alert sounded from the Red Frame's Cockpit - Ro could only signal the two to wait first, then climbed into the Cockpit to see who was calling.
Lu Tianming and Kira weren't in a hurry either, just chatting about the OS while waiting for Ro.
Not long after, Ro emerged from the Cockpit, his face beaming with smiles, completely different from the puzzled expression he had when he entered.
"Did... something good happen?"
Kira looked at the inexplicably joyful Ro and asked.
"Let me guess, is your mothership about to arrive?"
Before Ro could speak, Lu Tianming asked first - there weren't many things that could make Ro show such delight currently. Combined with what he had said earlier, this was probably the only possibility.
"Exactly - the thing we transported for you should have arrived together. Want to go take a look?"
Hearing Ro's invitation, Lu Tianming and Kira exchanged glances, then nodded together.
Anyway, they didn't have any good ideas about the OS problem at the moment... might as well go outside to change their perspective.
The three returned to ORB's port, and sure enough, the Home was gradually docking under the guidance of port staff.
As the gangway between ship and port was gradually lowered, the first person to disembark wasn't from the junk dealers... but Andrew, whom Lu Tianming recognized?
"Well, if it isn't the Strike Suit pilot from North Africa—long time no see."
Andrew waved casually at Lu Tianming, his tone carrying a hint of playful banter.
"It's only been a few days, hardly 'long time no see'..."
Lu Tianming responded with a somewhat helpless smile. Since their last battle, including the time spent with the resistance organization and the sea voyage, it hadn't been long at all.
"Isn't there an old saying in the East? 'A day apart feels like three years.'"
Andrew waved his hand dismissively, wearing an expression that said not to dwell on such details.
Then he raised an eyebrow, glanced back at the Homestead docked in the harbor, and said with a smile:
"Since you're already here, why not come see the gift I brought you?"
